These Playtime scores are ridiculous. You all must not have seen the 70MM print.
I'd really like to see this print. 2001, too. Although, with 2001, I think I might just end up preferring sitting at home with my Blu-Ray copy more.

Speaking of Blu-Ray. I'm still hoping that Criterion will revise their list and include Playtime. Seeing it in Hi-Def on a 50" screen may be the closest I ever come to seeing it properly. I've been trying for several years to convince our film society to bring in a 35mm print with no luck.

It's like, how much more black could this be? And the answer is none. None more black.

I have seen Playtime in 70mm and on my home TV. I loved it the same both times, so I cannot excuse those low ratings for improper viewing.

Wishful thinking, perhaps; but that is just another possible definition of the featherless biped.

No kidding. My interest in cinema started off when my dad showed me Mon Oncle and City Lights, and these are two movies that I'll always consider as the most important.
