    What are you, twelve?
Awesome. I was literally planning on writing "I didn't realize you were twelve" until I saw this post. I guess it's universally assumed that paperboys reach their peak at that age.

Although, I admit I'd take up a paper route in a second if it was anything like this.

I'd been a paperboy since 2002, until I quit earlier this year. I'M 22 YEARS OLD.

But you have to dodge dingoes, wallabies and crazed Outback maniacs, so it's probably an honor to even be considered for that job. I'm assuming you also get a motorcycle and Road Warrior-style leather outfits, right?

I was actually just reading about Matt Damon and he’s like, ‘There’s a culture of outrage.’ I’m like, ‘Well, they have a reason to be outraged.’ I think it’s a lot of dudes just being scared. They’re like, ‘What if I did something and I didn’t realize it?’ I’m like, ‘Deal with it.’

Yup. I even chased after it one morning, and I was all "I'll get my job back, you shitty fucking kangaroo!", and then it turned around and was all "I Say Hip Hop A Hippity-Hippity Hop..." and then I was like "Gaaaah!!!" while shaking my fist at it.

Heh. I have no need for a long term, day time job at the moment, seeing as I'm going back to school. And actually many people do it for extra money. Dumbass :P

Invisibility cloaks may be on the horizon!

I don't see why this is necessary, though.

I just wave my wand and say "Expay Invisiblorum!" and that does the job.

Look into your school's Student Health Insurance program. Many schools have decent ones.

I think I've come to terms with the fact that I do not care about the Olympics at all.

I think it is very enjoyable to watch sports I'd otherwise never watch and athletes from all over the world I've never heard of who aren't competing for money, every 4 years and share the experience with millions of other people. It's fun trying to figure out all of the rules/scoring/techniques/strategies/ learning athlete, country, event and Olympic histories, and watching people achieve their dreams, break world records, and bring pride to their country. I find it much more exciting and cerebral than watching professional sports. The finish to the 4x100m swimming relay the other day was one of the most exciting things I've seen.

I do know that NBC's coverage of the Olympics "Live" on the west coast is appalling. It kinda sucks the drama out of watching an event when you saw the result of the event 3 hours earlier on the internet or ESPN. The fact that they have the balls to show a tape delayed event with the word "live" printed in the top right hand corner of the screen pisses me off to no end.

So yeah, that opening show for the Olympics that everyone's been drooling over since it happened on Monday?

    Fake.

Reports are just coming out now that a lot of it was CGI - people who were actually there have been saying that the show was nothing like what TV viewers saw.

Oh and that little girl who sang? Also fake - she was lip-syncing. The little girl who really sang was deemed "not pretty enough" to sing live.

Yeah, that sucks...I try to avoid catching results when I am able to watch. I don't understand why they don't just show it live...they never had a problem showing other major sporting events at 5pm. They run the encore presentation all night anyways.

Still was awesome nonetheless. What was CGI'd? The thousands of people in synch with each other?

Regardless, it was still a spectacle.

I love the Summer Olympics for similar reasons as origami. It truly feels like everyone cares this time around. It's as if we missed the entire season of baseball, and all we get is the competition of the playoffs. Everyone steps it up. Some of the stories are neat. Love it.

US Basketball is the most entertaining though. Just waiting for that next Vince Carter-esque dunk over a 7'0" Frenchman's head.

I've watched the Olympics every night this year. Phelps and basketball got me interested in the first place, and then most everything else caught on while I was waiting for them. I'm totally hooked.

When I'm watching Beach Volleyball, and actually interested, something's working. I can't say I've ever watched Beach Volleyball before.

I was pretty sure it was the bikinis until I found myself watching the men last night too. That was a confusing moment for me.
