Han Solo: A Star Wars Story?
Gets to the point at least.Quoting Dukefrukem (view post)
I've been out of the game for a long time, but that image looks fake to me.
Mostly because, ime, it would be unusual for marketing to watermark "confidential" and "preliminary image" onto a brochure. Everybody involved with the project would know that it's confidential. There wouldn't be a need to print it. And the term of art when you're using temporary images is "FPO," which means "for position only." This is done so that designers can demonstrate a layout before the final art has been confirmed. Nobody places things like watermarks in a way that it obscures the art or clutters the layout.
This also looks like it's been printed and bound, which wasn't unheard of back in the day but seems unlikely in a digital age.
Also, who cares if it's labeled A Star Wars Story? Doesn't feel inacurrate to me.
Bump.
Midnight Run (1988) - 9
The Smiling Lieutenant (1931) - 8.5
The Adventures of Robinhood (1938) - 8

The only Star Wars story I've brushed up against that's worth a damn -- aside from the first two movies -- was in Knights of the Old Republic.Quoting Ezee E (view post)

I didn't realize we had a separate thread for this. Thought we were putting them all in one space like the Marvel thread.
We do until one is in production, then it gets it's own thread. Then a review poll thread after that. We do that with Marvel too.
Has anyone else felt less and less happy with Rogue One over time? The more I reflect on the characters and how the story organizes itself, the more frustrated I get. And I don't know who to level the blame at. Being an Edwards fan, I'd love to place the blame at Gilroy and Disney, but Edwards hasn't proven himself an adept storyteller outside of Monsters - although you could argue the thin human drama was part of the point of Godzilla.
The things it does well, it does exceedingly well.
But there's a lot of bullshit and shortcuts along the way, like the film was shredded and scotch-taped back together.
Yes.
It's been ironic because I've felt less happy about Rogue One, and more happy about Godzilla. Every time I think I want to watch Rogue One again, I try to think of the parts I really enjoy- (for most Star Wars movies it's easy for me- I can't wait for the trash compactor scene in ANH, I can't wait for the creator scene in ESB, and I can't wait for the Sarlac & Speed Bike scene in Jedi. With Rogue One, as my brain scans through all the scenes, none of them appeal to me. Even the ending battle.
On the other side, the ominous tone with Godzilla has the opposite effect. I think to myself, I really want to see the mystery-build of that movie again. Everything up until Hawaii at least.
What is the creator scene? I'm drawing a blank.

Oh did you mean crater? Yeah believe the asteroid field/crater section is top three star wars bits ever. The score for that numero uno.
Yup. I can't spell sometimes.
Pfft, happens to us all. No sweat. Lord, I'm going to be hearing that score in my head for a week.
Honestly, I haven't given it a second thought since I saw it. It was a thing that referenced another thing and then it was over.Quoting Dead & Messed Up (view post)

What trans said. I wasn't happy with "Rogue One" the first time.
It's oddly joyless for a Star Wars/Disney movie.
I've been wrestling with the feeling that I'm less and less happy with Star Wars in general over time.

Anyway, like number8, I'm caring less and less about the series. Only the original trilogy (and even then dominantly the first two) seem worth a damn. Since then, you either get vegetables (the Prequels) or cake (the Disneys), but none of them give you a good square meal.
