Beyond is the kind of exclusive that can really enliven a press conference. MS had Halo 4, but somehow the presentation seemed more momentous here, more exclusive. I wasn't a big fan of Heavy Rain, but Beyond looks good. Very good, but there was little gameplay, if any. When David Cage spoke about the game, he sounded like it was going to be all abstract and meditative. Instead, we have exploding choppers, SWAT teams, and speeding trains.

Do not care about Battle Royale.

Holy fucking crap. Assassin's Creed III has got naval battles!! The roiling seas look awesome. Big big kudos for showing something entirely new about this game. They could have shown a more familiar mission, but no! Nice.

Far Cry 3 looks sweet. I'm a loner when it comes to such games though. I always worry that the game might become too easy with four, but I understand this is a dedicated campaign so that's a cool extra.

Ah, I see. This is the obligatory boring part, but hey, little kids wanna game too! Crap, that was a longass bout of boredom, but I guess I get why they do it.

God of War IV!! Release the Kraken!!!!!!! :lol: Fuck yeah! Still need to play the third one, but I sure will eventually.

Another exclusive. The Last of Us. Should be a stellar game!

Uncharted 3 felt very uninspired to me. Hopefully this is better. I like that it looks that you can't just hide behind something for 10 seconds and recharge all your health.

I really don't like Naughty Dog's brand of violence. That game looks sadistic. I wish they'd go back and do something like the first Jak and Dexter again. Same goes for that new Tomb Raider. Are gruesome displays of ultra-realist-violence the new thing now? There is just something about this new breed of violent action game that turns me off, something that sets them apart from the violent games I've played before. Maybe it's the "realism" they're striving for. Maybe I just prefer for SF or fantasy, and less realism. That could be.

I believe The Last of Us will be at least good and potentially sterling stuff, but that E3 video doesn't get me pumping although that's because it reveals nothing truly significant, not a moment that screams "holy crap!!"

Ok, so there's gonna be a new Mario, but the original Mario Sunshine reveal was far more exciting. Instead we get a nice looking side-scroller, the type of which we see on XBLA it seems every few weeks. This does not show off the Wii U.

Batman: Arkham City: armored Edition doesn't really add enough. Another miss.

Scribblenauts?! Any console needs such games, but this is E3 ferchrissakes.

3DS time. So I guess no new Zelda, no new 3D Mario, no new Metroid for the Wii U. No idea how powerful this thing's going to be. In fact, some graphics such as Batman:AC: AE look washed out.

Wow. Halo 4 looks incredible. You can definitely tell that Bungie was working with some highly outdated tech. It looks more like a Metroid Prime game.

Bland, zero reason to buy a Wii U, no sense of its power (unless one counts the sense that it's underpowered), more 2D mario games. Existing games that look worse than on PS3 and XBox 360 (at least I had that impression)

Not surprising. Nintendo has lagged behind innovation for quite some time. You can see the Wii fad is quickly dying and Nintendo has nothing to fall back on.
