Well my 40 inch "monitor" is technically a TV.

    Yeah, that'd be cool.

There's just something about computer monitors. They must be made differently, or work differently. I know I've played certain games that ask you before playing if you're using a TV or a monitor, and it changes the gamma accordingly.
"All right, that's too hot. Anything we can do about that heat?"

    "Rick...it's a flamethrower."

Most of the PC gamers I know now have their PCs hooked up to their living room TV, and they are using wireless 360 pads for almost everything. I hear that Steam will be releasing a "couch version" which can be completely controlled with a game pad, and the fonts will be bigger so that you can read them from a couch while still having the resolution cranked up. PCs have basically become consoles for gaming.

    Fixed.

But you're essentially right. Valve and Gabe know there's a huge market they are not tapping into (the console couch gamers vs PC).

I'll post pics of my setup later. Couldn't live without my PC.

I work in grocery. I have not gotten sick. My fellow employees have not gotten sick. If the virus were even remotely as contagious as its being presented as, why haven’t entire store staffs who come into contact with hundreds of people per day, thousands per week, all falling ill in mass nationwide?

I'll get back into PC gaming when I don't have to worry about a game not working on my setup

With my 360, a 360 title will work. Guaranteed.

Valve. The company is Valve. Steam is a service. Get it right, ya nerds!

Might want to reconsider your last word in your post for your argument. I by no means wanted to start another console vs PC argument, but your simply wrong here. At one point, the 360 had a 70% failure rate.

So far I've had a couple of great cyclopes encounters in DD. The way the pawn AI works as a team is incredible. As far as AI-controlled NPCs go, I hope other game developers take a cue from Capcom, because they've done it right. I also don't mind the chatter. A lot of it is useful, and some of it is actually kind of funny. It really does feel like I am adventuring with a party in a table-top D&D game, far more so than Icewind Dale and Neverwinter Nights ever did. They just nailed it.

Capcom has basically the made the best D&D video game I've ever played.

Also, I can't wait to get home today and see how much money my pawn has made for me during the day. She was being hired out constantly yesterday. I'd like to know more about how the server system works, as in how the pawns are split up for other players to see and hire. It's a very interesting system Capcom has made.

You should change your username to Pimp Davis.

Word to the wise: Don't talk about this in public. People might get the wrong idea. :P

It's a completely different issue. I'm not denying that the 360 has had tech issues.

The problem with PC is having a system that meets or exceeds the required specs for a game, and for no discernible reason it doesn't work.

That is the reason I stopped playing PC games.

If I buy a 360 game it will be compatible with an X-Box 360.

You're also posting articles from 5 years ago. The system has improved, undeniably

Actually, I should have named my pawn SEX. I know that would get a lot of attention in the Rift. I might start over and do that just to see.

The articles could have been from 100 years ago. I'm arguing your original reasoning for choosing 360 over PC is flawed.

I agree consumers do not like to have to think about PC requirements when going console, and for the most part within the last 5 years, they have not really been all that reverent. Computers that were built in 2007 can run games in 2012. In the 90s when PCs were changing so rapidly with the different processor and chipset advances and MMX, this was definitely a real pain in the ass.

Also, my main character is Boldwin from Demon's Souls.

And, what's more, Capcom included an in-game screen capture feature. Finally! All console games need this.

There's a difference between compatability issues, which meg was talking about, and whether your machine breaks, which is what you're talking about. PCs break, too, even though it's far less than Xbox 360s.

But not all of them. A friend of mine bought a (not top-class gaming rig) PC in 2010 and can't run Diablo III. The computer I built in 2004, which was pretty good for its time and upgraded with RAM and new video cards in about 2006, couldn't run most freeware indie games in 2010 when I got my current machine.

What RPGs do you like on the PSP?
My PSP is my most neglected system (apart from my Dreamcast), actually. I bought the system for the Persona 1 remake, which was alright, but I never fully got into. Same with Persona 2, though that one I intend to go back to. Valkyria Chronicles II, which is a tactics RPG, is the RPG I've enjoyed most on the system. A friend of mine has played probably dozens of PSP RPGs and really likes the system for that.

Correct. But Diablo III is the first game I've run into that requires you to update to the current service pack to play. (with the exception of Crysis which no PC could play at 60 Frames at lunch, but that was a developer issue and not a PC issue)

I'm just saying putting a disc in your 360 is not "guaranteed" to play. That's all. Yes they've fixed most if not all of the issues since, but you would be replacing your entire console in the process. That's like building a whole new PC if something doesn't run except it's much easier and quicker process.

Oh and my PC doesn't charge me $60/year to play online either. Just sayin.

I have a PC from 2007. I can't run many games at all. "Amnesia: The Dark Descent" barely runs on the lowest settings.

Really? Name one game that they sell for the 360 that isn't compatible with the system.

One major problem I can see with DD is that there doesn't seem to be any change in scenery and atmosphere. I've seen videos of people who have been playing for 20-30 hours, and the places they are in look exactly the same as those at the beginning of the game.

That is a major bummer. I'd rather have a much smaller world with more variety.
