So... favorite game of all time? I've decided it's Hitman: Blood Money.
    Probably Deus Ex.

I work in grocery. I have not gotten sick. My fellow employees have not gotten sick. If the virus were even remotely as contagious as its being presented as, why haven’t entire store staffs who come into contact with hundreds of people per day, thousands per week, all falling ill in mass nationwide?

Red Dead Redemption is kind of like Grand Theft Auto meets Deadwood with a little Fallout 3 thrown in for good measure. Impressive thus far.

    So...seriously...is anyone getting "Halo: Reach"?

I know we have several 360 owners here...

Speaking of which, anyone who doesn't have me on their list, add me. megladon8

I'll probably check it out next year, after Bayonetta, Read Dead Redemption, Halo: ODST, and Fallout 3: New Vegas.

Just finished playing, but I'll add you tomorrow. Still, because of the timezone difference, it isn't likely we'll encounter each other often. Halo: Reach I really really really want to get, but I'm usually buying games when they've lowered prices these days. Perhaps I can convince my brother to pay the biggest chunk of the money.

    the whole offline problem.

    Oh.

No, I can't fix it. I've contact Microsoft about it half a dozen times and they are no help at all. And I can't seem to fix it myself.

I just appear offline is all. If you ever want to play just fire me a message and, if I'm on, I'll reply.

Are examples of why "Unreal" has, IMO, the greatest original score for any video game, ever.

I was going to say Deus Ex as well then remembered that it came out in 2000! Shit, I'm getting old. So the answer to your question is NOTHING. I'm honestly very hard pressed to think up a single masterpiece of the past 5 years.

Blood Money isn't a bad shout. I like my games to be a little more ambitious, but the structure of the game is developped in a way that you can play it through a bunch of different times and get somewhat different experiences - and that goes some way. I think Bioshock is probably the most exciting game in terms of ideas and presentation to come out in a long while. Company of Heroes is still probably the best RTS - it makes away with a lot of the bullshit that I don't care about that suffocates Blizzard games and KOTOR II is one of the best non-masterpiece RPGs. Fallout 3 is pretty excellent but certainly a Fallout for dummies (so to speak). The Witcher is incredibly close to greatness but has some awful, awful bugs in it and the central thesis on the nature of evil and the ease of corruptability doesn't really go anywhere - although I love how grimy and miserable everything and everyone is. Dragon Age is fun, but still no Baldur's Gate 3.

Actually wait! It's probably Portal. Brilliant game.

EDIT: I haven't played STALKER, but one of the few people whose word I really respect when it cames to gaming says it's the best shooter since System Shock 2, so that has to count for something. I might give it a spin over my reading week in November.
