Without looking at the URL, what game is this?

Released on the Atari 2600 in 1988.

Gah, I looked at the URL, but the title was one of my choices. There could be a great game in there for a thread, but people can't cheat by looking at the URL.

I work in grocery. I have not gotten sick. My fellow employees have not gotten sick. If the virus were even remotely as contagious as its being presented as, why haven’t entire store staffs who come into contact with hundreds of people per day, thousands per week, all falling ill in mass nationwide?

Now that I've figured out the multiplayer aspect on Demon's Souls a bit better, I'm actually leveling up. That said, I'm still stuck on the second level. I've beaten the boss with the help of other players, but never by myself. I did pretty well once on my own, so there's hope...

    Tough game. Really tough.
    Which boss? Armor Spider?

I've beaten a few bosses with help from other players, too bad that for the toughest boss (Maneater), there's rarely anyone offering their help. One guy truly saved my ass during one of the later stages while facing the Blue Dragon.

tip1: Do not consume bosses souls, they can be traded later for advanced spells or used to make unique weapons.

tip2: Try to level up a focused character, if you want to be melee, go for strenght, dexterity and endurance (to wield heavier weapons and armor without much loss of speed and stamina), if it's a Mage/Priest then intelligence (for more MP), magic and faith, scattering stats will end up with a poor character, and the required xp for later upgrades becomes a bit too high.

tip3: However, using magic makes the game a lot easier, if you build a melee character but wants to use a bunch of basic spells, add points to intelligence and buy a few. Advanced spells will require more slots (which means higher stats), but you may end up not using them as much because your character has low MP. Of the advanced spells that cost only one slot there's Soul Ray (a stronger Soul Arrow) and Poison Cloud, which can be VERY useful against tough enemies.

yes, the game is deep man. DEEP!

I actually see 3D technology being much more significant and important for videogames than for movies.

I was actually just reading about Matt Damon and he’s like, ‘There’s a culture of outrage.’ I’m like, ‘Well, they have a reason to be outraged.’ I think it’s a lot of dudes just being scared. They’re like, ‘What if I did something and I didn’t realize it?’ I’m like, ‘Deal with it.’

    Haha comment from that page:

One boring universe combined with another boring universe makes not a non-boring universe.

    I'll agree with that.

Imagine what it will be like when 3D mixes in with the World Of Warcraft and social networking world.

It'll be like The Matrix, but reversed.

Totally agree so far. Somehow, its even more cinematic than the first one, and the fights are even more intense.

Darksiders starts to pick uo when you reach the first dungeon - Twilight Cathedral - i wish you got there faster (it takes around two hours), the pacing at the introduction is uneven, opens with a cool CG intro, then a bunch of meh god of war style sections, lots of wandering around trying to find stuff. Fortunately the voice acting and overall art direction are pretty good, but the Dungeon is incredibly fun to play, and the new mechanics (ripped from Zelda ehehe) add a much needed fresh air.

Ahahahahaha I don't mind rip-offs as long as it is fun to play and it fits the mechanics, althought the controls are a bit strange sometimes the game design feels very solid overall, remarkable considering how many different stuff they crammed in it.

I like the fact it tryes to fix certain details also, like discarding God of War QTE's completely. I actually geeked out a bit during the Panzer Dragoon bit, dunno why i've read some reviews complaining about it.

    Attention all DS owners...

Video Games Plus is selling "Disgaea" for $9.99!

One per customer, and I don't know how long this deal will last.

Adam Sessler is great. I try to catch X-Play when I can. He's a good host, and he quite knowledgeable and passionate about games.

I have a suspicion that Adam Sessler likes to cocaine off SNES cartridges with a Dualshock controller down his boxers.

"Dementium: The Ward" is a mixed bag.

Technically, it's incredible. I was expecting a "DOOM"-like version of 3D (where it's not really 3D at all), but it's actually a 100% 3D game world in a first person perspective, and the detail is incredible. It looks like somewhere between a PS1 and PS2 game, and the framerate is solid.

However, the environments are very, very repetitive. To the point where I don't know where the hell I am, because every room looks exactly the same.

Enemies are few and far between. A few little spooky moments, but as with the environments, I feel like I've seen the same zombie-like creature too many times.

IU has the worst cut scenes I've ever seen.

You gotta give to G4 for hiring hot chicks, though.
