    That sucks, dude.

I've lost many-a-video game controller to my cat(s).

I didn't know that wire-chewing was cat behavior. I don't think any my cats ever did that.

My cats do it all the time. Well, they used to. There's a spray you can buy that makes them taste so bad the cats won't go near them.

    Really?

I've never had a cat that didn't. Phone cords, video game controllers, power cords, computer mouse and keyboard cords...I think I've had to re-buy every type of cord in my house

Yep, thats what we use. Haven't had an issue in ages because of that spray. Granted, I've had to use the water spray bottle lately 'cause they seem to love running their claws down the dry wall....

    Mmm.

I bought a nice little bottle of sake at the liquor store today.

I've never had sake before. I'm really enjoying it.

Cold or hot? To me cold is infinitely better.

It's just room temperature right now. I know it's supposed to be served warm, but I wasn't sure how to go about warming it up.

I just poured it into a small rocks glass and it's really nice.

Not all sake should be served warm. If you want it hot, just pour some into a mug or bowl, then throw it into the microwave for a couple minutes.

You also lost many of your DVDs recently, which, in my book, is considerably worse than having to replace and old and shitty cell phone.

Good sake should be had ice cold.

If it's poor quality, heat it up.

    I love ice cold sake.

    So good.

Oh well. The discs look fine. Boxes shmoxes.

I'm a little pissed about my prized Cary Grant box set, because it had collectible posters and stuff inside that got water damage.

But, like I said last night, it's just stuff! If the leaking had led to an electrical fire, I could have literally lost EVERYTHING.

    I'm a happy camper.

Sake should never be served too cold. When sake is over-chilled you cannot taste anything. Sure, flaws would be covered up, but so would more refined aspects of the sake, as nothing is discernible. If someone tells you to enjoy sake ice cold, it is because they know their sake is inferior. To propagate such an untruth is unethical and unfair to brewers of fine sake.
I prefer it ice cold, but it looks like that is wrong!

    Drinking is so complicated.

Gotta get the UNFILTERED stuff that looks like watery jizz. Despite how it looks, it's 100x better than the clear/filtered sake.

    Should it really matter, though?

I mean, drink it how you enjoy it.

I like a lot of wines to be quite cool, and my wine-snob uncle belittles me for it every time we get together.

But I enjoy it that way, and I'm not going to drink it room temperature in an effort to impress him.

    This is what I got...

I'm not sure if it's the same as this. Ideally, as long as you're enjoying yourself, go with what you like.

I feel amazing (not because of the sake).

I've had kind of a "moment of clarity" and I feel like I know what I need to do to get my life together, and I feel like I'm motivated to do it.

This past trip to NYC was a life-changing experience, and made me re-assess the priorities in my life.

I feel great and I hope I'm able to prove to myself that I can do it.

Heh, yeah, I guess NYC can do that to ya. In more ways than one.

    Seriously though, that is awesome.

Mine don't, either. However, I have one who is a wool-sucker. She specifically likes to suck on a flannel blanket. This activity looks very strange. I just wash the blanket every so often.
