Saw him in Michael Clayton. He looked fine. Now he's gone. Fucking cancer. Somebody please find a goddamn cure already.

    Oh Morris.

RIP for Sydney though. He'll be missed.

I was surprised to see this. Pollack always seemed like a swell guy and I didn't even know he was having health problems.

Some day, Mr. Pollack, I'll watch one of your directorial works that wasn't The Interpreter.

Great director and an actor with great presence.

The AFI goes a little nutty over Tootsie, but it's really pretty funny.

Tootsie is a fine expression of male angst, but as a feminist tract, it is a regressive fantasy. Still, well acted on all counts. I agree that Pollack is a better actor than director. Sad news.

I was actually just reading about Matt Damon and he’s like, ‘There’s a culture of outrage.’ I’m like, ‘Well, they have a reason to be outraged.’ I think it’s a lot of dudes just being scared. They’re like, ‘What if I did something and I didn’t realize it?’ I’m like, ‘Deal with it.’

I haven't seen too many of his films (mostly because many of them involve Robert Redford and I'm not a huge fan of Bob as an actor) but Tootsie was quite funny and Sketches of Frank Ghery is an interesting doc. They Shoot Horses, Don't They? is supposedly pretty great.
