This Viking mess is giving me a lot of confidence when I think that my Panthers could be 3-0 after this weekend. I honestly am surprised we stole those two wins without Steve Smith.
I'm pretty sure they will. Especially since AP isn't apparently at 100%. The QB change the Vikings made won't help them in the slightest.

The following picture is spoilered because of how damn frightening it actually is:

    []

Al Davis has morphed into the love child of the Emperor and some ancient troll. Yikes. It was taken off of Fox Sports.com.

Also on the Fox Sports poll asking who the best option for the Vikings at QB should is the option "Shane Falco" received 50% of the votes  I voted for Falco, of course...

OK, I was just reading an article on Packersnews.com, and this bit kinda threw me:

At the behest of the league's competition committee, a mechanical change was made during the offseason to more closely officiate left tackles. The referee now focuses solely the blindside tackle — entering Week 3, the left tackle on all 32 teams, since there are no left-handed starting quarterbacks — with help in some alignments from the line judge.

It's impossible to analyze the impact after only two weeks, but the message is clear:

Blindside tackles should be in focus all season.

"That was the word from the competition committee," Mike Pereira, the NFL's vice president of officiating, said in a phone interview on Thursday. "They really felt like they wanted more consistent coverage on the left tackle and the right defensive end. You invest a lot of money in those people. That's certainly an important position, especially with a right-handed quarterback.

"We're not asking for more calls. We're just asking for more consistent calls."
So, they're asking officials to watch less players and just focus on one matchup?

Maybe they want more quarterbacks injured?

Good win for the Vikes. I like the move to Gus if he stays healthy. I think they're trying to extend their record number of times they've switched QBs early in the season and made the playoffs with the replacement.

The Dolphins...wow. Joey Porter will never shut up now.

As a football fan, I am insulted by the stupidity of Ron Turner's playcalling today. It's overtime. You have the ball. What do you do on your drive? The common thing to do is throw the ball - you have a chance to get more yards than you would to run the ball right? No instead Turner decides to run up the middle for only a 3 yard gain.

Bad thing about moving out of Iowa is that I no longer get Bears games. Have to settle for Panthers games now.

And NFL Sunday Ticket is just a bit too expensive right now for me.

I'm down 7 points in my fantasy league, with my opponent done. I need to chose between Donald Driver tonight vs. the Cowboys or Jerricho Cotchery tomorrow against the Chargers. Which will get me the points? :frustrated:

And how frickin' appropriate is it that my choice comes down to a guy getting the ball from Aaron Rodgers and a guy getting the ball from Brett Favre? I think I'm gonna be ill.

I'm thrilled the Broncos are 3-0 and all, but their defense has been pretty terrible the last two weeks. Again, after getting a 21-3 lead, they back off, playing a weak zone defense that allows the opposing QB to eat them alive. How they managed to hold on this week is almost as inexplicable as last week's gimme. But still, 3-0, yay.

Don't worry Derek. The Chiefs will make the Broncos look really good defensive wise next weekend. Sadly.

I'm uber pumped for Packers-Cowboys. Also the Bills coming back and winning against the Raiders was nice, although they shouldn't have been losing to the Raiders in the first place.

I'm depending on Donald Driver and the Packers defense (that's all I have left in my main league). I'm pretty crazy, but oh well. Gotta go for the gusto.

Oh and the Titans are currently on top of the AFC South. Wow. I don't know if that's going to last though.

Shit. Worst possible thing that could happen to the Packers just happened.

If Al Harris doesn't come back, game over.

(If he does come back it's probably game over too, but still.)

    EDIT: Whew.

Yeah, that's not good news. And strangely enough the Packers might still be in this for now, as Romeo doesn't look very good. We'll see.

The fact that Nick Collins made a big play makes me very happy.

The fact that my upstairs neighbors seem to be running laps in their living room and it's messing with my HD reception does not.

The Mike I would probably kill those neighbors. Or go over armed with a tire iron.

The Collins play was beautiful. I was so excited. Awesome stuff.

The run game looks promising at the minute, time to take a shot.

They need to stick with Ryan Grant. Forget Brandon Jackson. I figured that the running game would be more important since Aaron Rodgers was going to be the QB.

Yeah, but Grant not being full-strength is a problem.

Rodgers trying to audition for Dancing With the Stars in the pocket is also not cool.

Okay now the game is over. Shit. Barber really is a stud though. The guy deserves more due for being one of the league's best RBs.

And that's true about Grant. One of the other reasons why I picked the Cowboys to win this.

Yeah, for a "tough and rugged Pittsburgh guy!", Mike McCarthy's Packers teams have been incredibly soft and stupid.

Granted, they're not as weak as Mike Sherman's Pack, but they haven't changed as much as Ted Thompson: Spawn of Satan, would have you believe.

It also doesn't help that most of the players they expect to be their leaders (Rodgers and Hawk, specifically) have no charisma whatsoever.

This Packers team has not shown me they can in any way, shape or form make it beyond the first round of the playoffs. And that's if they can win the division (they were helped out today by the fact that the Bears lost). This is terrible. Shit. My Cowboys fan friend is going to be an asshole to me after this is over.

If someone would have told me before this game that the Cowboys would have 20 points with almost 9 minutes left, and TO would not have been a factor, I'd have been really excited.

Too bad the Packers don't seem to want to win the game.

As much as I hate to say it, I don't see anyone stopping the Cowboys from a 6th Super Bowl title if the Romo/Barber/Witten trio holds up.

    And, there's another dagger.
