The Jets are a terrible football team playing a road game 4 days after an actually somewhat-valiant effort against the Broncos. Pats gonna win by a million.
I really dislike Thursday Night Football.
Busted creepy sideline guy.
Two major injuries on the Pats may say otherwise.Quoting shaun (view post)
Yeh i saw that yesterday and was laughing my ass off.Quoting shaun (view post)
Your major injuries are offset by the Jets losing starters Dee Milliner and Brian Winters for the year. Statement still holds.Quoting Dukefrukem (view post)
I went with the Chargers for ESPN. Their eliminating game though is bullshit because even when you get it wrong finally you can still pick all season long. I got one wrong with the Titans a while back. Yahoo's version does it right heh.
Ties should not exist in football. Also GB needs to draft offensive line next season. Ted Thompson continues to not adress line depth. Rodgers had to line dance all game and the rushing attack is suffering from lack of running holes.

Teams getting shut out in this day and age baffle me. Especially if it's a team like the Giants.
22 left in the survivor pool- Gonna need MC's advice from this point on.
I'm planning on going with the Pats this week. 16 of the 22 had already gone with them in week 2.
New England or Arizona
Yeah, Arizona jumped out at me right away. I'd also consider Baltimore. Atlanta has been atrocious on the road.
Since I can't do a Survivor league...
My POWER RANKINGS:
1) Denver Broncos
2) San Diego Chargers - they're at number two due to wins against mostly non-impressive teams, except Seattle.
3) Dallas Cowboys - DeMarco Murray is proving to be the real deal, and the defense shook up Wilson. But can't trust Romo in the playoffs.
4) Detroit Lions - best defense in the league?
5) Seattle Seahawks
6) New England Patriots - 80 points in the last two games.
7) Cincinnati Bengals
8) Indianapolis Colts
9) Philadelphia Eagles - basically all home games, with a road win against Redskins. Not on board yet.
10) Arizona Cardinals
11) Baltimore Ravens
12) San Francisco 49ers
13) Carolina Panthers
14) Green Bay Packers
15) Cleveland Browns - can't take this team lightly
16) Houston Texans
17) Chicago Bears - brutal schedule so far. I feel like I'm underrating them
18) New York Giants - blunder of a game solely brings them down 4-5 spots.
19) New Orleans Saints - biggest wtf team of the year to me. I don't believe they're this bad.
20) Miami Dolphins
21) Pittsburgh Steelers
22) Atlanta Falcons - horrible defense and erratic Matt Ryan... maybe this is the biggest wtf team
23) Kansas City Chiefs
24) Buffalo Bills
25) St. Louis Rams - losses to 49ers, Eagles, and Cowboys. But all close games. They're better then you think
26) Washington Redskins - tough schedule be damned.
27) Minnesota Vikings - McKinnon time
28) New York Jets - Carr and Bortles are showing upside. Wouldn't be surprised to see this team at #30 by year's end.
29) Oakland Raiders
30) Jacksonville Jaguars
I'll go with:
1. Broncos-The defense and Peyton are masking a poor run game, although Hillman might be the answer
2. Chargers-Philip Rivers for MVP
3. Cowboys-Risking Murray getting hurt, the o-line looks great and Romo hasn't cost them anything. Yet...
4. Cardinals-Despite no Palmer for most of the season they have a nasty defense and a good run game
5. Colts-The run game has vastly improved over last year, and the defense is both good and bad. Luck rules
6. Lions-Great front seven, but lack of a quality kicker and Stafford is too inconsistent
7. Seahawks-Under performing this season, maybe due to high expectations. Repeating is damn near impossible these days...
8. 49ers-Although losing some key defensive players this team doesn't quit and will make its usual playoff push
9. Patriots-So long as Brady and Belichick are in charge this team will make the playoffs
10. Packers-Ugly win on Sunday but the defense has looked better and Rodgers is there to bail them out as usual...
Bottom 5:
5. Jets-The run game is non-existent and Geno looks lost. Yikes.
4. Redskins-Cousins isn't a long term answer and Morris has disappeared. Another lost season in Washington.
3. Rams-Sure this team has fight, but it keeps losing close games. Needs a QB, badly.
2. Raiders-Derek Carr is this team's future. Build around him. James Jones was a good off season pick up, and was their only good pick up.
1. Jaguars-Poor Bortles. 0-16 is well in sight.

Aside from a six point OT loss the Broncos have looked their usual best of the AFC style this season. It's not really shocking to put what you think is the best team in the league as your #1 in power rankings. Even if you are a fan of said team. What is he supposed to put the Chargers at #1 instead just to avoid seeming biased? We are all biased one way or another.

Football Outsiders has DEN, BAL, and SEA as their top 3. DVOA tends to be a better metric as the season goes on though and it's still early. Not enough scheduling strength sample size as of yet.

I just traded Crabtree and Ben Tate for Dez Bryant. I'm feeling pretty good about it.
You must have enough RBs then, because Tate has posted two straight great games since he came back from injury.
I was offered Big Ben and Stacy for Foles and Tate. I'm going to pass.

I don't trust Tate's durability. Not only that, he only had one great game against Tenn. His game last week against Pitt, a sorry run defense, he only averaged 3.1 per carry, but benefitted by grabbing two TDs. I have Arian Foster (and his handcuff Blue), Fred Jackson, and Ahmad Bradshaw in a PPR league. I needed help at WR, and don't like that Crabtree's targets have been falling.Quoting MadMan (view post)
Well in that case it makes sense.

Well that's about what I expected. I knew it would be closer than you thought Shaun.
Cant really ask for much more. Dominated TOP, no turnovers, more yardage and first downs than the Pats. Really should have won; just screwed away points with dumb holding penalties that turned TDs into FGs.
Of course the Jets are the first team in NFL history to lose committing 0 turnovers, rushing for more than 200 yards, and having a TOP over 40. Of course.
