I've been thinking about abandoning fantasy sports. I kind of hate them. But I run a keeper league, so it's hard to walk away. Won't be this year, but I might find a successor right after the season ends.

I'll never be torn away from fantasy football. This is almost certainly my last year of fantasy baseball though; 2 money leagues and I didn't even pay attention beyond mid-May.
I have the 9th pick in a 12 team half-point PPR league.
Thinking of going Demaryius with the first pick, and then Doug Martin and Vereen with the next two. That's the extent of my strategic research thus far.

I'm only in one fantasy league this year. One is enough.
QB- Matt Ryan / Russell Wilson
RB- Jamaal Charles
RB- Ray Rice
WR- Randall Cobb
WR- Pierre Garcon
WR- Jeremy Maclin
TE- Julius Thomas
FLEX- Bishop Sankey
DEF- San Fran / Denver
K- Blair Walsh
Sure why not?
STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI (Rian Johnson) - 9
STRONGER (David Gordon Green) - 6
THE DISASTER ARTIST (James Franco) - 7
THE FLORIDA PROJECT (Sean Baker) - 9
LADY BIRD (Greta Gerwig) - 8

Fantasy Football is my 2nd wife.
One draft is almost over. My team so far:
QB - Andrew Luck
RB - Gio Bernard
RB - Bishop Sankey
WR - Megatron
WR - Michael Floyd
TE - Jimmy Graham
BN - Tony Romo
BN - Ray Rice
BN - Darren Sproles
BN - Carlos Hyde
BN - Jeremy Maclin
BN - Julian Edelman
3 more leagues will draft in the next week. And don't worry, I won't be that guy to post all my teams.
I enjoy fantasy football, and it's made me more aware of the game and the teams. It's made me a bigger fan.
I took a season off back in 2007 after winning back to back titles, feeling that I was done. Never will I take another season off again. Love fantasy football although I'm thinking of sticking to only two leagues this year. Will post my money league two QB picks after this Sunday. $65 buy in (50 for the league overall, 15 for food and the big board). I have been friends with those people for years now.

Two QB money league draft that happened on Sunday:
RBs:
Eddie Lacy (keeper)
Doug Martin
Reggie Bush
Ben Tate
Chris Johnson
QBs:
Nick Foles
Eli Manning
Ryan Fitzpatrick
Jake Locker
WRs:
Torrey Smith
Michael Floyd
Terrance Williams
TE:
Jordan Reed
Defense: Carolina Panthers
Kicker: Stephen Gostkowski
Plenty of backs (I keep losing them to injury every freaking year) and I might have one too many QBs but it is a four QB league. Will probably cut someone for a backup TE later on in the season and or a defense, if I need to. I hate drafting kickers.

Josh Gordon Suspended One Year
So what have we learned? Punching a woman and dragging her out of an elevator is not as bad as just sitting in the elevator quietly, minding your own business, while she smokes weed.
Sounds like justice to me.
Yeah, just a touch fucked up.
“What we are dealing with here is a perfect engine, er... an eating machine. It's really a miracle of evolution. All this machine does is swim and eat and make little sharks and that's all.”
The NFL's screwing of the Browns continues. Meh.
This makes me so angry.
Draft in a buddy's league that's free and I'm just filling a slot for fun. I let the 9 year old finish the second half of the draft.

All four drafts completed and I did alright.
My friend has a local football radio show and I always participate in his drafts. Usually we'll get at least one oddball or two and sometimes people don't know football as well.
So someone drafted this team in this order:
1. Eli Manning
2. Connor Shaw
3. CJ Spiller
4. Percy Harvin
5. Mercedes Lewis
8. Ryan Succop
9. Joique Bell
10. Joseph Fauria
11. Lamar Miller
12. KC D
13. Jonathan Stewart
14. Mike Glennon
15. Nick Novak
16. Marvin Jones
17. Jeff Cumberland
So he drafted 3 QBs, 3 TEs and 2 Ks in a league that starts three WR and a flex. He drafted only two WR.
Awesome.
@AdamSchefter
So the Ray Rice Fallout continues with a new domestic violence policy. Six games for 1st offense, lifetime ban for 2nd.
Lol
Entirely the Lions fault. They had Suh renegotiate his deal the last 2 years in order to spend huge money on Calvin and Stafford. Now they're forced into a situation with an enormous cap hit for a DT and the only possibility to lower that number is to sign him to an extension when they have zero leverage in contract negotiations.
They're honestly better off trading him (if anyone is willing to take on his contract and give up a 2nd rounder) or letting him walk and getting a 3rd round comp pick.
Ugh I really hate Suh. He's a dirty player.
And yes I agree that its bullshit that Gordon is suspended for a year while Rice gets a two game slap on the wrist. Nice to see Goddell doing the right thing only after the media and everyone else bashed him for it. Phil Taylor had a good column about it in SI a while back.

Our QBs get 6 points for TDs, so once the top three RBs were gone I went Manning. Leaves my running game sketchy, but so be it. Hopefully Manning is worth it again this year. Took a back up TE for the first time ever (with my last pick of course) since Denver's bye is week 4.
My main league. I had pick 2. I'm determined not to bank on RBs. Seems every other year I get talked into it, and it totally screws me. I went a little out of the box picking Manning first, but I looked at last years fantasy points scored...kind of hard not to pick the guy that outscored every position by a margin.
QB Peyton Manning, Den QB
RB Pierre Thomas, NO RB
RB DeAngelo Williams, Car RB
RB/WR Vincent Jackson, TB WR
WR Antonio Brown, Pit WR
WR Pierre Garcon, Wsh WR

.J. Watt signed a 6-yr extension worth a record-setting $100M w/ $51.8M guaranteed.
Best defensive player in football so hard to argue he doesn't deserve it. Hopefully it'll slot Muhammad Wilkerson in that $12m per range when he finally gets his extension.
