Assuming they downed it, they'd be at the 20, and would go no further than the 30. Not sure of the Bills' punting average, but I'll say 40 yds, which would put the Pats around their own 35-45. With a minute to go, definitely doable.

So is it a bad time to mention that Brady got away with an awful throw on the winning touchdown?

It's very very horrible, sir. It's one of those things we wish we could disinvent.

and the 2 min warning. 4 stoppage plays = 4 and out if they kneel. They'd have to try and throw it at least once, if incomplete, stopping the clock again.Quoting Ezee E (view post)
Well, they wouldn't kneel. They'd be rushing Fred Jackson in hopes of a first down.Quoting Dukefrukem (view post)
Correct. Each rush would be immediately followed with a time out. Plus the 2 min warning.Quoting Ezee E (view post)
Somewhat incorrect. There was 1:56 left on the clock when the Pats recovered the ball. The 2 minute warning had already passed.Quoting Dukefrukem (view post)

Play by play.

So I guess if a play starts with more than 2 min. and ends with less than 2 min. and the result of the play is a stoppage of the game clock, that still counts as the 2 min. warning?
I suppose that makes sense though I think I may have always assumed otherwise.

By the way, the 2 minute warning is such a joke of a rule. Do teams really need to be warned that there are only 2 minutes left? As if they aren't closely watching the clock at the end of every half/game. It's a shameless excuse to add in more TV advertising, and it's quite stupid.

I just got this trade request
Frank Gore and TJ Housmenzadeh for Peyton Manning and Josh Morgan
I have Manning. Big Ben and Joe Flacco are my back up QB's.
Sure why not?

STRONGER (David Gordon Green) - 6

Depends if you think Flacco will be a stud this season. And if you have WR and RB needs. That's a really huge trade, not sure what I'd do if I was in your situation.Quoting Watashi (view post)

Big Ben and Joe Flacco are reliable I think. I'd do that trade.Quoting Watashi (view post)
I don't like Gore at all this year. I'd pass.
He had a bad week last week, but the 49ers are apparently a run-first team this year, and Gore was apparently in the best shape of his life at training camp.Quoting Kurosawa Fan (view post)
Plus, I'd really like the 49ers to pass on Crabtree and do awesome without him. He better sign, because there's no way he gets drafted in the first round next year.
I think Gore is mediocre, and an injury risk, and everyone in the 49ers camp is apparently in love with that rookie Coffee.
Apparently LT is apparently out for Sunday, apparently, vs the apparently visiting Ravens.
Apparently.

Can someone explain why someone would bet in a spread? Is it only because it pays out better if you pick the favorite?
I'm not sure I understand your question. As far as I know, you have to bet the spread. It's not a choice. I don't believe you can go to Vegas and just bet on who's going to win any given game straight up.Quoting Ezee E (view post)
It's called the moneyline. It's really not worth betting on the Green Bay Packers because they are a -450 this week. So if you bet $100 on Green Bay, you'd only win $22 (looked that up on the Moneyline calculator), whereas if you bet $100 on the -380 Cincinnati, you'd win $380.
So, if you take Green Bay in the spread, is the money better if they make it? Yeah, they are a -110.
Solved it myself, but still confuses.
Because picking Green Bay to beat Cincy with no spread is child's play. That $22 is almost free money. And aren't the Bengals a +380, not a -380?Quoting Ezee E (view post)
+380 right.Quoting Kurosawa Fan (view post)
The Ravens were a +140 last I saw. With LT out, I bet it goes even.
I only bother with spread pick 'ems when it comes to college football.
