I agree with Benny. Usually coaches make for the best commentators than someone who's never stepped on a football field.
I'd rather have Aikman than Gruden though.
Sure why not?

Donte Stallworth gets 30 days in jail
Okay, is this sentence normal for pleading guilty to DUI manslaughter? I know he has 2 years of house arrest and even more on probation, but considering what he was supposed to get (15 years...would the guilty plea reduce it to 30 days?), it seems like the punishment doesn't fit the crime.

The victim's family was given a large pile of cash. Prosecutors in an overworked district, facing the probability of an expensive and drawn out celebrity trial, are unlikely to go against the family's wishes.
Money wins. Sad, but that's how it goes.
If the victim's family felt that financial restitution was a sufficient punishment then I don't really see the tragedy in a shortened prison sentence.

God I hope most of you live far far away from Vikings country. I have to wake up to my clock radio every morning hearing the latest on if and when Brett Favre will become a Viking.

It's like, how much more black could this be? And the answer is none. None more black.
So is Stallworth allowed to leave the state for road games? Maybe he'll run patterns handcuffed to his parole officer.

Even though he was a huge rival of the Colts when he was with the Titans, and a major thorn in Manning's side, I still admired the way McNair played. This was pretty shocking news yesterday. R.I.P.
Read about this the morning after the Fourth, and its truly a damn shame. I still recall foundly that great Super Bowl where the Titans fell short against the Rams. RIP.

Yeah, this is the best thing that could happen. I'm free to hold onto delusions that it was all a swerve to screw over the purple bastards. Life is good.

Thoughts on Vick? Should he be allowed back?
I'd take him for Cleveland. His crimes were dispicable, but everyone gets a second chance. Hell, he did more time than famous people who kill other people.
I think he should be allowed to come back, and I think the extra six game suspension is absurd. I wouldn't want him on the Colts, merely because I never thought he was all that good a QB in the first place (without an accurate arm, you're a liability behind center no matter how athletic and talented you are) and I know that's what he's going to want to be in the future.Quoting Skitch (view post)
Agreed on all counts, but he did rush for like a thousand yards as a QB...thats pretty nuts.Quoting Kurosawa Fan (view post)
I wouldn't want him on my Skins (my number one team) but I'd definately take him on my Browns (my hometown terrible team).
Is there any doubt he will end up on the Raiders? Not only because Crazy Al takes a chance on these characters, but he fits in philosophically with the offense: strong arm, vertical passing game, throw it deep and strike quickly.
I thought it was criminal to have someone with his skill-set in the west coast offense.
