Give me a break....Rambo and Yoda are not only insanely easy to spell, but they are far more well known than a Dalek. And no I'm not going to bother learning the spelling of some dead artist, no matter how great he was.

I'm on episode 8 of Doctor Who season 1 and I've been looking online for some timelines go by for watching the specials and other stuff for the future and I've noticed they usually put Torchwood Season 1 to be watched after Doctor Who Season 1 and before watching Doctor Who Season 2. Does this sound about right?

I think it's actually that TW Season 1 runs parallel to DW Season 3. So, you'd probably want to watch seasons 1 & 2 before trying TW.

I didn't watch them in order.

I think it makes no real difference. The Doctor is never mentioned by name on Torchwood, and the continuity only comes into question when Jack crosses paths with him.

Good. I was getting really goddamn tired of it.

Tourchwood is a show that I haven't gotten around to watching, namely because I'm more interested in viewing Dr. Who instead. I'll view it in the end mainly for Jack, although I've heard decent things about it.

I've never seen anything before the reboot, either. There's too much there. It's intimidating.
Most of them are standalone episodes, though, so shouldn't be that intimidating. I recommend some good stories like The Pyramids of Mars, the Robots of Death, Tomb of the Cybermen, etc. One story worth looking at is "The Five Doctors" as it gives you a little taste of multiple Whos.

And of course seeing "Genesis of the Daleks" just adds so much to watching any subsequent Dalek story.

    Season 4 finale was awesome.

Weird season: the worst sustained sequence of episodes in the new series followed by the best.

Didn't realise there's four more Tennant episodes to go. That's neat.

They did a series of specials as a transitional period between Davies and Moffat, and Tennant and Smith.

The more I think about Season 4, the less I like it. I'd say it and Season 1 are tied for the worst season in the new show's run.

Oh and Season 5 was awesome, really. I loved how it ended, and the season finale was great and highly original, actually. Plus it was fun to [

Also Rory is the best male companion for the Doctor since Mickey. I like how he ranges from being easily scared to then being rather brave. I wonder how Season 6 will turn out, and what arc that one will have. At some point I will get around to revisiting Seasons 1 and 2, as I don't remember those particularly well. I'm starting to think that maybe Season 3 is the best of the bunch, but then Seasons 2 and 5 are also up there as well.

A Christmas Carol was beautiful, moving, hilarious, clever, quirky, bizarre, all at the same time.

Oh, and the trailer for the new season is pretty damn cool:

Wow, the special is getting a whole soundtrack album release, and deservedly so - the music is fantastic. Here's "Abigail's Song" - someone filtered out most of the sound effects and put it on Youtube. I was actually in tears during this, just such a wonderful song and performance...

The Christmas special was perfect. Just wonderful.

And Matt Smith in a Stetson is... well, I'm recording that episode and keeping it forever.

Once the Tardis lands it's part of events and the Doctor can't trip to yesterdays to fix things.

Hopefully my friend DV-R-ed it, as I was out of town and therefore unable to watch. And that trailer is fantastic. The Doctor in a cowboy hat=cool. [

Three episodes away from the end of season 2. Just finished Love and Monsters, easily my favorite episode of the series so far. Brilliant.

Heh, awesome. That's probably the least liked episode of the show overall.

Tennant is engaged to marry the girl who played his daughter!

Which is just a tiny bit weird.

Finished season 2. Can't wait to start up season 3. While watching one of the last episodes I thought one of the female characters was adorable and then I just found out that she becomes the companion for season 3 playing the cousin of that character. Yay!
