Pretty great adaptation of the beloved classic. I haven't seen the Disney remake and of course a product like that holds zero interest next to a film like this so I don't think I'll be making the comparison. I will say that Del Toro has pretty high ambitions for this one but I'm not sure the fascist era setting really adds much to the traditional tale besides aesthetics. Special effects, visual and vocal performances are all top tier.
