Exciting premise that gets drowned in the sea of bad directorial choices, from an overbearing score to a couple too many scenes overexplaining the feelings of its main character. Donald Sutherland is brilliant, though, and it's a very interesting film that could have risen above and become a more memorable final product with just a few choice upgrades.
