Pretty astounding family drama and James Gray might have filmed some of the best performances of his career. We've been flooded with 80s set big budget cinema lately, from Stranger Things to some garish mistakes like Wonder Woman 1984, but I have to say this film is the best at capturing the ambience, the colors, the way things felt and offer a world that's lived in. Gray also excels at simple, straight-forward dialogue that's also wonderfully paced and effective.
Curious title from that director. I'm interested.
