Love the pairing of these episodes as premiere, each of which has Jimmy and Kim get together to pull off one fun piece of a long con, each revealing in their own way. The first ep's one is pure classic, exhilarating Jimmy work, including that hilarious improvisation. But the second's is for contrast... and damn, Kim's scary (still in a compassionate way though, considering she's doing it for restoring those scammed by the Kettlemans as well, after passing by an old lady on her way in).

Also, if anyone has followed Donna Bowman's excellent reviews for every episode (give or take a few sub-ins) of this universe, reaching far back since the pilot of Breaking Bad in '08. She's completing these final BCS reviews on here.

I had terrifying dreams about Lalo last night.
One may smile and smile, and be a villain.
The severed arm perfectly acquitted itself, because of the simplicity of its wishes and its total lack of doubt.
Final-season kind of episode ending. Michael Mando is so great, and I almost forgot in the long absence how much Mark Margolis can act across with just his eyes and mouth.

It all makes sense, yet it's still a surprise.
Not even a glimpse of "Gene Takavic" yet.
This sets up quite a bit of suspense dominoes to topple over in next week's mid-season finale. Also we unexpectedly get the bonus origin story of Francesca's BB career. Feel bad for her; she's so excited about the place!

Last night was decent - too little of Lalo though and it's all terminator mode.
A pretty boring half season, not going to lie. Jimmy's antics are all things we've seen before and it's been DRAGGED out this season.
And love the Lalo character, but yeah, he's gone full Terminator-mode in Germany. Will look forward to his fury in Albuquerque.
IMHO, all the seasons have dragged - their ideas for story lines, I don't know. The whole thing with "how they built the meth lab" - they couldn't come up with a better story? At this point I'm just watching it for the BB crossovers.
Yeah; I mean, I do like BSC on the whole, but it still can't help but feel like it's somewhat in the shadow of its parent show, just by virtue of being a prequel, and having to go over the same basic turf, instead of starting fresh with a clean slate, like BB itself did.Quoting Yxklyx (view post)
Holy fuggin shhhhhhhhht

I liked this episode but I didn't care for Terminator Lalo - again. I mean he was wounded at his home then wounded pretty badly again in Germany and it doesn't seem like much time has passed (a few days?). He should be at least limping/cringing around while walking. I preferred Lalo at the grill. The end game with Howard felt a bit anti-climactic BUT not that bad. The final scene was excellent!

The meeting and the last scene are both so excruciating, in two completely different, great ways. What a cliffhanger until July.

July? No new episode next week?
Stopped watching Mad Men - it's alright, but I'd rather watch some films..
An annoying trend right? Ozark, Stranger Things etc... Maybe it's covid related.Quoting Yxklyx (view post)

In this case, probably to get into two Emmy awards cycles like BB did in its final season as well.

Sure seems like this season could've been compressed. Looking forward to this second half still, but outside of Nacho's bit, I don't think this first half did anything that would resonate in the Breaking Bad world, besides that final scene of course.

I still like we know where everything is heading, yet, we still have no idea how, and don't ACTUALLY know where everything is heading at the same time...
I did like Wendy's (or Windy's) reappearance recently - that motel needs some more scenes. Also, I have totally forgotten the cause of the Sandpiper case. They should have given us a recap of that somehow (I skip the "next week on BCS" snippets so maybe they showed something there?). We saw a scene a few episodes ago where Saul is filthy rich so I expect him to get all that money - and then promptly lose it all somehow.
That last episode was really good - can't wait for the season to start again. I'm miffed though that I can't re-watch the season without purchasing it. Will definitely cancel this AMC+ channel when the show ends.
What a tense hour. Every scene with Kim and Jimmy is devastating, as the two actors are so good, especially Seehorn. The ending is probably the seed for Kim's endgame with this show now. As last season's finale title alludes to, "something unforgivable" indeed.

Yeah, this is kinda ballsy. So [] It may not be super dramatic and climactic but really why does it need to be? This is more natural and it's still a powerful scene. Unless we haven't []
