Duke is going with ROUND AVERAGE.Quoting Ezee E (view post)
This should make for an interesting season.
Any thoughts on if multiple movies in the same round go streaming or change dates?
I think in a possible You Won't Be Alone situation where a movie may never get 200 theaters, we've done $0 in the past. I'm fine doing the first four possible weeks, as it'll probably be less than $1mill....
Fluid situation!
I think that's in the rules. If it never crosses 200 theaters, first four weeks are your consolation prize.
I'm sure at least one of my picks will probably end up on streaming or whatever.

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 collected coins aplenty, pushing Eric right into first with around $89 million.
Morbius got STAKED, with a 71% drop!
Ambulance, certainly no Transformers, but still fared better than Michael Bay's last two non-franchise movies, Pain & Gain and that Benghazi movie, was the first on DFA's list to start him off.
Skitch's Father Stu, a Sony Pictures classic release if there ever was one, hit 2k+ theaters and provided theater workers a happy day with little to no seats to clean.
Meanwhile, David Lynch's 2-theater Inland Empire Rerelease had a $20k average over the weekend, the #2 per theater average overall. Will an announcement be coming of a new movie??? One hopes.
I take that back. Drago's Everything Everywhere All At Once might be a sleeper hit for him. Its first week of eligibility nabbed him $9million dollars!
Yeah I knew I should have gone with that one. Oh well.

LAST WEEK:
-Sonic the Hedgehog 2 looks like it get close to the $200M cap, adding $40M for it's second week. Can it do $70M in two weeks?
-EEAAO does more in it's second week, than in its first! The power of word of mouth, even though MC is a detractor.
-You Won't Be Alone is exactly that, walking hand-in-hand out of the race early with only two weeks in theaters. Ouch!
-Fantastic Beasts puts DFA onto the board, but is that a true first rounder with $53M???
-Mal taking her time. 0 movies have been released from her end thus far.
WEEKEND:
-Bad Guys looks to be a third round surprise for DFA, as it hits the top of the box office. Never doubt animation!
-The Northman will probably be this year's highest budgeted "art film." Drago's EEAAO will likely be the breadwinner for the indies.
-Sonic continues to cruise.
Four-peat incoming!!!Quoting Ezee E (view post)

I didn't draft Fantastic Beasts unless I read that post wrong. Also Bad Guys looks decent enough so I figured it would make some money at least.

-DFA's Bad Guys, a 3rd round pick, comes up with a #1 hit and $28 million for MadMan. That already beats his second round Ambulance.
-Sonic won't crack $200, but hitting $150+ will be a nice start for E's first movie. Looks to be a while before he returns.
-Skitch's Father Stu coming out with $15m could be a win for a 5th rounder.
-Drago's Everything Everywhere still shows no signs of diminishing, and could very well beat out his own Northman.
COMING UP:
-Not in this field, but there was a Wile E. Coyote movie with a release date, and in pure Wile E. Coyote fashion, has hit a wall, and erased from existence.
-LAZLO'S PUSS IN BOOTS has been moved to a December date. He has ONE WEEK to decide on a different film or go with week average. I bet we can predict what that will be.
Round average please.

black widow - 8
zero dark thirty - 9

According to Deadline it's still in production. But I wouldn't be surprised if it's one of the many sacrificial lambs to the Discovery merger, in which case it's a real bummer.Quoting Ezee E (view post)

-This was MadMan's week as he had Dr. Strange cap in its first week, while also having The Bad Guys hang around at #2. He catapults into first place as a result.
-This may not be Skitch's season. Hatching looks to join You Won't Be Alone in a movie that isn't able to make it to four weeks.
-Duke's Chip 'N Dale movie is now a streaming only release. He has two round averages.
This week was a quiet one as Dr. Strange dominates theater counts. Firestarter is the only notable release, with a few of the "summer indies" coming out next week.
Now it's a competition!
-Ivan Drago jets, literally, into first place with $200M first week from Top Gun: Maverick. The second summer movie to pass the line.
-Mal's Downton Abbey looks like a heck of a 4th round pick with $33M in two weeks.
-Duke may be left in the dust with two round averages, but gets House Party next week.
It may be Lazlo's week next week with Jurassic Park! Will this be the third movie to get $200M in a week?
IVAN DRAGO's SECRET HEADQUARTERS has been removed. He has one week to pick an alternate selection or go with round average.
Three Thousand Years of Longing, please.

Very small week with Top Gun dominating the box office and already passing $200M.
Bob's Burgers and Downton Abbey added a bit for Duke and Mal. Meanwhile this season doesn't look to be the one for Skitch as Men and Firestarter start to wrap up.
Jurassic Park is taking the box office this week and will likely bring in its $200M in one week for Lazlo, but won't be enough to push him in front of Ivan Drago at this time.
Duke's Block Party is allegedly out in theaters.
Puss in Boots moved to December
