Three films for the price of one, each engaging in their own way, but kind of clanging when put together even with (or especially because of?) thematic throughline. I actually liked the first one most, as the slim narrative sets off a fascinating view of city details and life-during-covid snapshots. The second segment is the kind of essayist filmmaking that tends to be hit-or-miss for me, but Jude keeps it playful and varied enough here to resonate. The third, maybe the most "conventionally" dramatic, is undeniably riveting, but also goes full ahead with a stacked deck in favor of one viewpoint that the group of parents get slightly tedious in their hypocritical screeching after a while. Sure ends most memorably though. 7/10
    Midnight Run (1988) - 9
    The Smiling Lieutenant (1931) - 8.5
    The Adventures of Robinhood (1938) - 8
    Sisters (1973) - 6.5
    Shin Godzilla (2016) - 7.5

Very, very memorably. I hadn't laughed that much in a while.
