I have some serious issue with big-picture motivations and plotting logic here, especially from Doctor Strange's side, and although Jon Watts is still good on the character stuff (which is why the high-school rom-com field trip section in Far From Home is my favorite parts of these three films), he's among the least capable of MCU directors when it comes to big-scale superhero action stuff (which is why Far From Home, relying on that aspect the most for its plot, is my least favorite of these three films). Surprisingly, it's the interconnected world-building that turns out the best, pretty thoughtful in charting out returning-character beats with plenty of downtime for interactions, giving dramatic oomph and weight to Peter's arc in the process. Every key performance is so good here that it even saves the murky night-time climax somewhat. 6.5/10

Yeah, I think if you focus on logic and the motivations of Dr. Strange and the villains, you could end up really hating on this, but the world-building was so seamless that I had a blast with it all.

Tom Holland is a Browns fan. I'll give this a thumbs up when I see it.

Yeah the action is pretty boring and rote. I wasn't really on board with this until about the 90 minute mark (awesome cameo notwithstanding) , and then something genuinely powerful and emotional happens, and it just becomes super cool from that moment going forward. Climactic too, again not because the action dazzles (which it doesn't) but because of the weight suddenly bearing down on the good guys and how the story evolves. The best of the Holland spidey flicks.

Also, between this and Dune, who'd have thought that Zendaya would be the top box office actress in Hollywood?

Some unexpectedly powerful moments in the final stretch like [

I wasn't sure at all about that [

I still wish there would have been a more substantial cause behind the [

I liked this quite a bit. It surely doesn't need to be this long, and the second half is better than the first by quite a margin, but I like how they just keep honing in on how decent and good Peter Parker is as a person. They get a lot of mileage out of that, and Holland does damn good work every time. Nostalgia bomb notwithstanding, it worked on me. Molina is as wonderful as ever. And Garfield is just adorable in this.

Very entertained by this. It might not be cinema but it's kind of incredible the amount of shorthand storytelling Marvel Studios has achieved with its characters at this point. I also loved seeing Maguire, Dafoe and Molina go back to these legendary roles.

I thought it was great although I don't think it is the best Marvel movie ever made like many feel. A lot of NWH is fan service yet this is exactly the kind of fan service that was required. Also I like how the movie ended-that was a bit of surprise to me. Garfield was probably the main highlight of the flick and a reminder that even though i skipped his movies I may view them later anyways.

Haven't seen NWH yet, but still think the first Garfield is the best Spiderman movie. 2nd one is the worst.

At least his second one not doing as well lead to the MCU ones and Spider-Verse so it worked out in the end.
