Campion is probably locked now, although CODA creeping up seems to threaten TPOTD a bit.
As for the acting categories, if even the British go for Will over Benedict, Best Actor is now the most locked alongside Supporting Actress/DeBose.

I bet I would have gotten to see CODA and Drive My Car had my local AMC ever opened back up again. They're how I saw Lady Bird and The Rider.

Just finished Coda and pretty much hated it, so I'm ripping the band-aid off and doing a crappy Oscar bait double feature. Next up, Belfast!

More bad news for you in that it now just solidifies its Adapted Screenplay potential even further now with WGA lol. DLU win is even more horrid.Quoting Idioteque Stalker (view post)

CODA's really going to win this?
Would that make it the most Hallmark-ian Picture ever?
I still haven't seen it. I did watch Spencer and I'm now viewing Nightmare Alley.

Coda's two major wins were a bit surprising to me as was Branagh although the latter is just a long overdue director taking home a screenplay award which is typical for the Academy. And yes the slap definitely overshadowed everything else.

Tell me if I'm wrong, but Jane Campion joins Mike Nichols (The Graduate) as the only two directors that won for Best Director, and their film had zero other wins.
Coda is the first since Grand Hotel (1933?) to win Best Picture without a Director and/or Editing nomination.
DeBose, I believe, is the first actress to win an Oscar for a remake where the actresss won an Oscar for the same character.
Oscar Winner Billie Eilish. Well, that's going to make several corners of the internet even more insufferable than they already are.
Song was fine, I thought.
"How is education supposed to make me feel smarter? Besides, every time I learn something new, it pushes some old stuff out of my brain. Remember when I took that home wine-making course and forgot how to drive?"
--Homer
I have seen exactly one Oscar winner (Dune) lol
