I thought he was just being written off.

I thought Marvel didn't approve of his alleged (?) abuse of his wife, so were more or less parting ways. I forgot what the story was, but seemed like he disappeared immediately after that.Quoting Dukefrukem (view post)
Looks like I was wrong anyhow
Oh right. Yeh I'm not sure that went anywhere.Quoting Ezee E (view post)

Found the pilot pretty amiable and charming (especially as Steinfeld introduction), the second ep a bit less so with more comic lore and plot proper, but Renner and Steinfeld have fun banter together and their own good character beats enough.
Although it starts less intriguing and/or strong than other MCU shows, Bishop's description of Barton (a sly real-world acknowledgement of the superhero/actor appeal) has me hope this might have a chance of ending better than them (sans Loki), since its lowkey hook and charm should allow the show more freedom not to land on their face better.
Also, not enough Rogers: The Musical in my opinion. Very Avatar: The Last Airbender's "The Ember Island Players" of them.
Midnight Run (1988) - 9
The Smiling Lieutenant (1931) - 8.5
The Adventures of Robinhood (1938) - 8
Sisters (1973) - 6.5
Shin Godzilla (2016) - 7.5
I really like this show. The third and fourth episodes have been the strongest so far.

I binged this in one day. Having low expectations, I gotta say, this was sweet, and the end did not disappoint. High marks for the MCU shows of recent.
I thought it was great and finished strong.
