Man, this was a mixed bag. On one hand, we have a cute (even if it's a bit by the numbers for anime) romance that propels the first half pretty well and gives us something to latch in the second one, because by the mid point the movie gets so ridiculously convoluted that (think The Matrix blended with ERASED and all the LOST parts featuring Desmond, but confusing) there's a point where I just stopped trying to think what in the devil was going on.
Visually I'm bit torn as well. There are some frames that look almost your name. good and some other moments where we have a 3D sequences which doesn't quite blend with the art style. It even has some moments in which the character movements feel animated slightly different from the rest of the movie, as if they had done it with Flash or something.
A reluctant yay from me because I enjoyed the romance.
