I've been writing my review of Paganini Horror this week. Planning to have it finished tonight or, at the latest, tomorrow. Then I plan to record my voiceover during the weekend. I'll start editing next week. I've already edited the hook for the video and I'm pretty happy with the bit I chose.

Here's the trailer of the movie, in case anybody's curious.

I just now realized that this got a re-release in 2019, which leads me to wonder whether I'm going to get a copyright flag on the video after I upload it. You would be surprised how often that happens. It's kind of ridiculous. My After the Dawn video was flagged seconds after I uploaded it, two days before I even made the video public.

Recorded my voiceover for Paganini Horror last night. Going to start editing tonight. I'm a day behind schedule, but I usually have my video ready a few days before it goes public, so no worries. Going live on the 28th.

So, my movie for February is something called The Soultangler. It looks ... interesting. Shot over a couple weeks on a budget of $8000 in the 80s. So, the disc has the full 90 minute version that apparently has a lot of dialogue specifically written to pad out the runtime to feature-length. The DVD also contains a director's cut that chops out 28 minutes, effectively making the movie just a hair over an hour long. I'm debating which version to watch. What do you guys think? I'm leaning toward the feature-length version. 60 minutes just doesn't feel like a MOVIE to me.

    Here's the trailer.

oh watch the full movie, so I can hear those awesome video game sounds as you penalize the movie for the blatant padding, and hopefully another reference to my beloved Bohemiath.

Will do. Maybe I'll do the director's cut as a bonus episode in the future.

I have 2 movies on my plate right now! The Soultangler, and another one called Parasitic. I've already seen Parasitic and know it's hot garbage, so it will be fun to poke fun of it. I'm going to focus on Soultangler and work on Parasitic during downtimes. My goal is to have 2 videos ready to upload in March or April.

FYI, watching these videos at .25 speed is a real treat. Spun sounds so stoned he's barely coherent, and when one of the video game sound effects plays, it sounds like an atari taking a long, satisfying fart.

I don't think I'm going to start Parasitic as a secondary project. It's a short month and I want to make sure I've got enough time to complete The Soultangler. I've already ripped it, though, so I'll probably just make it my March review.

    Nice, congratulations!

As soon as we were aware of it, both Jen and I had to subscribe.

We still occasionally rewatch episodes of PWNED.

I really regret the "I'm not a retard," joke in one of those episodes. I don't know if could go back and watch any of them. Was trying to do this whole "South Park" thing and it just comes off as tone-deaf to me now-a-days.

Yeah, I look back on that and wince too. I view that as a sign that I've grown as a person.
