    Hi Everybody, Remember Me?

Hi, everybody, remember me? I left Match Cut five years ago, according to my post history. I left for reasons I can no longer remember. I do remember being in an extremely toxic headspace around that time, so that probably had a lot to do with it. I was going down a very dark road and cutting contact with a lot of friends. I haven't gone through my post history here, but I suspect I was being pretty dickish near the end, too. I'm happy to say my better instincts won and I sought help. I've been through some rigorous therapy and I've come out the other side in a pretty good place.

Tonight I watched Underwater, per bac0n and Scar's recommendations. I enjoyed it quite a bit, but I AM a sucker for a cool monster. Then on a whim I came over here, and wouldn't you know it, the banner is the same damn movie. I've been reconsidering attempting to reconnect with some of the people/places that I abandoned when I was in my bad place. And I saw that it was still active around here, so I figured I'd jump on and say hello. Ideally, I'd like to just kind of jump in like nothing ever happened. I don't really feel like I'm the same person I was 5 years ago, or even 15 years ago. Depression was a sonuvabitch.

So, hello again. If you and I clashed in the past and maybe I said some shitty things to you, I do apologize. I hope we can let that be water under the bridge.

    -Mike

I work in grocery. I have not gotten sick. My fellow employees have not gotten sick. If the virus were even remotely as contagious as its being presented as, why haven’t entire store staffs who come into contact with hundreds of people per day, thousands per week, all falling ill in mass nationwide?

I still consider myself a fan, but I am not caught up on the most recent season.

I'm afraid I don't know you, but I started posting here not that long ago anyway. Still, always good to see a new (or returning, in your case) face around here, so welcome back! Give my Genre Deconstruction project here a peak, if you want!

    Hey Spun!

I've never fully been here. I think I average like 0.4 posts per day since joining, and 90% of those are probably in the beer thread.

As in being stuck at home for an entire year, or an entire year and a half by the time this is over, or as in there were a number of good horror movies released? My movie consumption actually dropped for the first 2/3 of 2020 for a number of reasons. Then I bought a gigantic TV and sound system to have a makeshift home theater and my consumption jumped up again. I'd say I've watched as moves since then as I had during the entire year leading up to the new TV.

His House on Netflix is probably my favorite horror from 2020.

I had a few life-changing events this year. Moved in with my GF, who doesn't have much interest in movies or TV. I also started a YouTube channel (shameless plug?) that takes up a lot of free time.
