silly questions you really want answers

this thread is for silly questions. not reutoric ones though. ones that you're burning to know the answers.

i have this obsession. contrary to most people's belief, we thais don't eat with chopsticks. instead we use fork and spoon -- fork on your left and spoon on your right. and we use this pair for soup, salad, steak, noodle, everything you name it.

ancient thais ate with their hand, though, so i guess this fork and spoon is something we got from foreigners. my question is which country? i always assumed you guys, westerners, ate with fork and spoon, until i came to the US ten years ago and realized american used fork and knife. but there must be some country -- perhaps in europe -- that ate with fork and spoon. (my guess is protugal.) so enlight me if you ever visited such place.

I can't answer your question, but my question is this: how does a Thai person cut his/her steak?
Wishful thinking, perhaps; but that is just another possible definition of the featherless biped.

believe it or not, spoon! we don't eat steak that often though, and sometime a knife is provided. (yes, one for a table.)

I don't know what stereotypical farmer voices you've been listening to, but the ones I think of as iconic bear only the most passing of resemblances to the traditional pirate voice.

I think it's a combination of accessories and stubble.

Indy has more quiet confidence. Han pushes a little too hard, listing his own resume basically. Plus, Indy is not followed around by a stinky wookie.

Accessories play into it, as does costume... and hair, and stubble.

I was actually just reading about Matt Damon and he’s like, ‘There’s a culture of outrage.’ I’m like, ‘Well, they have a reason to be outraged.’ I think it’s a lot of dudes just being scared. They’re like, ‘What if I did something and I didn’t realize it?’ I’m like, ‘Deal with it.’
