Man, I saw this at a local film festival two years ago! I admittedly don't remember much about it, though, aside from liking the soundtrack. Is this on VOD?

Just watched this. A coming of age story primarily, but not exclusively focusing in Paola, an Ecuatorian girl who eventually moves to Cali, Colombia and struggles to fit in, features some very good music (there's a song atthe end that reminds me of Aterciopelados) and animation (the latter's with it's B/W look and style superficially reminded me of Marjane Satrapi's Persepolis). The story per se is more of a series of loosely connected vignettes detailing the story of Paola and her family, which gives the film a very loose feel and while there's nothing wrong with a film like this, it often requires a very strong emotional or thematic center which I feel Virus lacks, thanks to a first third or so centered more on the mother character than the acyual main character only for her to nearly disappear afterwards and voice acting across the board which feels mostly devoid of personality.

I'll give it a slight yay thanks to it's distinct look and music.
