I mean, what if the moderators just muted Trump's/Biden's microphone when it isn't their turn? It works on Around the Horn.

People are applauding the moderator yesterday and I have no idea why. He had no control.
That's what I wondered. Did people think Trump was NOT going to steamroll Biden? I think what will happen is Biden and the debate committee will agree to some sort of mute device if things get out of hand, Trump won't agree to this and say the debates are rigged and back out, then say that Biden backed out of the debates.
Ratings on a 1-10 scale for your pleasure:

    The Evil Dead - 9
    Borat Subsequent Moviefilm - 5
    Borat - 7
    Weekend at Bernie's - 6
    The Departed - 8
    Poltergeist III - 5
The Hand that Rocks the Cradle - 7
The Devil All the Time - 6
    Other Music - 10
    Feels Good Man - 8

There's only one left between the two anyway, right?

Two I thought. Next is town hall style and third is same as first.

Also heard that both sides have to agree to a mute button, which means there won't be one. :/

And you still see people (and news outlets!) watching that catastrophe and assigning equal blame for that chaos. It's maddening. How are people this deluded? There was exactly one person responsible for the lion's share of that debacle.

It boggles my mind when non-white people are Trump supporters.

Jen has a couple of relatives who live in PR and are poor as hell, but think Trump is basically the second coming of Christ.

    Are these people braindead?

He literally HATES you. He wants you, your family and your friends to leave the country and die.

What the hell happened to this country.

I have non-white relatives too that bombard FB with pro-Trump Q-anon bullshit on a daily basis. Also, Mennonite.

During the next debate they should play Sandstorm by Darude on an endless loop, and have the entire thing only lit by black light.

I got my ballot. Dropping it off tomorrow. I plan on renting a movie theater for the day after the election, to spend three hours in a dark room, alone, away from whatever the hell will happen. I know it won't be decided but in 2016, the feeling I had the day after wasn't good- I saw The Accountant that time.

Well I dropped off my absentee ballot yesterday. Some thoughts:

    1) I said fuck it and voted for Biden. Iowa is a swing state and I just couldn't go for the Greens. Also Bernie and the Squad have done more to advance progressive policy in half a decade than any third party lefties have in years.

    2) Kayne was on the ballot. I know that Iowa is thankfully kind to third parties, but that shit is a joke. Smh.

    3) I knew about all the races except for some agricultural council thing. Googling did not help.

    4) I voted no on a option to amend the state's constitution because I know that it will just be used to make abortion illegal here. Tricky bastards.

    5) Dropping off the ballot was easy. I might do absentee from now on. Also I still got a "I voted" sticker.

Yeah. As much as I bash the Dems there's only one party trying to openly prevent people from voting, and it isn't them.

I really hope he wins Iowa. Farmers here should be turning against Trump with all of the trade bullshit he has pulled.

But Trump isn't the problem. It's immigrants and poor people.

    Don't you watch the news?
I'm not being dramatic, I just feel like I'm going to throw up my heart and my head is going to fly away like a bird.
