I enjoyed the theory that the bomb and subsequent radiation fallout at the end of Rises would've been the catalyst for the more extra characters like Killer Croc, Poison Ivy, etc.
Man Bat would be a lot of fun.

Get someone like Leigh Whannell to write and direct.

    That'd be a great move.

There's so much opportunity with this approach, even if you went with JGL doing Nightwing since Bruce is retired.

But I am excited to see this Detective approach. From what I can see, it doesn't look like there's a city-wide potential for destruction in this, which is nice.

I've been promised a detective Batman since the 90s. I'll believe it when I see it.

    Same.

Back in '07/'08 Nolan said TDK would be more of a Batman detective story. And, I mean, I guess technically it is more than Begins...but that's not saying much.

I've been a diehard Batman fan since toddler-hood. Comics, movies, cartoons, shows, merch. My all-time favorite interpretation of the character and world is The Animated Series.

That show (and the associated movies and series') is just...*chef kiss*

    Same. SAME.

Nolan flirted with detective stuff, but it always feels more out of necessity and not purpose. An annoyance. A hurdle to get over to get to the punching and screaming.
