Never saw it. Sorry. I'm behind on both HBO and FX shows.
It goes a little long those last season or two, but the overall arc is incredible (about firefighters dealing with aftermath of 9/11). Its also incredibly funny. Its a rare show that can make me cry laughing and cry sad in same episodes, but a few did.

Any show that goes from 13-ep seasons to something longer is always a warning sign.

    Lost

Imagine if this show was on streaming like Stranger Things in today's Internet driven TV landscape. Spoilers would be everywhere and people would burn through this show like crazy. Lost actually helped drive streaming being more a thing for weekly TV when ABC wisely put the show on their website to watch every week. I love Lost so much, and it was one of the last network shows to take over my life to the point when I would tune in every week. It did take me a few years to finally watch the last season, but that was only because I never wanted it to end. Sure the creators wisely ended things at six seasons, but if they had kept on going I would have kept running in. The show had a devoured, almost fanatical fanbase that ensured the show received an ending. Me I love all of the seasons and I was happy with the ending. I don't think everyone feels the same way.

Oh man this show's cast was ridiculously good. You had Jack and Locke as the show's dynamic, the Sawyer-Jack-Kate love triangle for sparks, and the Sun-Jin pairing for stability. Hurley and Charlie were the show's comic relief, and we all rooted for poor Desmond to finally get home. I feel that the show unfairly cut out Michael, yet he did come back. Also Ben had perhaps the most remarkable arc out of all the characters, going from sinister to oddly sympathetic in the span of a couple seasons. Sayid was a personal favorite of mine and some of the others I liked more than many did.

Seasons 3-5 are probably some of the best and most compelling TV, ever. I remember the OWLs group on RT and Icine, and Lost is still the only show I ever regularly wrote episode reviews for. Btw I never understood why some people didn't like Juliet, and I feel the show answered most if not all of the major questions. Oh and a shoutout to both Miles and Frank for being awesome later seasons additions. I will say that having Claire disappear too much later on did annoy me, and looking back Kate often got stuck with some of the lesser episodes. Ah what a series.

TV Network This Was On: ABC

Favorite Character: Sawyer but it has changed so many times because I mostly love them all.

Favorite Episode: This is tough. For now I will go with The Constant because my emotions times a million.

    And it's happened once again
    I'll turn to a friend
    Someone that understands
And sees through the master plan
    But everybody's gone
And I've been here for too long
To face this on my own
Well, I guess this is growing up

I love Dennis Leary so at some point I will see it.
