Based on the fifth volume of the KonoSuba manga, Legend of Crimson follows a group of lovable idiots through a fantasy world: Kazuma, a sarcastic asshole neet (in the best way possible), Aqua, a Goddess who happens to be a whiny idiot, Darkness, a brick wall of a knight... who can't hit a thing and is an extreme masochist and Megumin, a ultra powerful wizard... who only can do one single attack (a very powerful attack) who totally drains her energy to the point she has to be carried out after attacking.

Some time after the end of the second season of the KonoSuba anime, our foursome have to go to Megumin's original village to stop one of the of the big bad's warlords and along the way... a lot of shit happens. As it happened with the original anime, this movie continues bringing the laughs... a lot, mostly based on the chemistry of the main cast (which is comparable to, for example, the one we'd see on Archer), the sharp writing and the animation which provides with the type of physical comedy one does expect on an anime like this one (with a few visual improvements, particularly with the battle scenes on the climax). And although the movie does benefit from previous familiarity with the anime, the movie itself is plenty funny on it's own, with everyone having it's moment to shine, although the funniest scenes of the movie are the ones with Kazuma and Megumin, specially for how hilariously sketchy they feel at times [
