In what's most definitively a special interest movie, Costa-Gavras adapts the Greek Minister of Economy's memoir of his unsuccessful negotiations with the European Troika (the European Commission, the Central Bank and the IMF) to find a humane way to pay the debt. I found it all very interesting (specially how many parallels there were with Argentina, even the role of the media and the many resemblances between Yanis and the Argentinian Kicillof), but I must say it's easy to get blinded by science if you're not very familiar with the international players of the events. But still, I left the film with the general feeling of having witnessed a great dramatization of political processes and chess moves. Costa-Gavras still has it after all these years.
