I work in grocery. I have not gotten sick. My fellow employees have not gotten sick. If the virus were even remotely as contagious as its being presented as, why haven’t entire store staffs who come into contact with hundreds of people per day, thousands per week, all falling ill in mass nationwide?

Well the one thing that DTV movies have done to me so far, aside from spending $80 on 4 movies... is my above post, and this post:

I thought this was actually solid, well-written and engaging?

I originally stopped it about 25 minutes in, and thought "Alright, super cliche and nothing we haven't seen before, but screw it, I'll keep going" and then, having not seen the trailers which spoil the big early twist, I was actually pretty blindsided and impressed by it. Not only the idea in and of itself, but also because of how self-aware it suddenly revealed itself to be, overtly saying that nearly all of my issues with the first act were intentional. And then you have Eiza Gonzalez, Guy Pearce and Lamorne Morris being very charismatic, with at least a couple of big actions scenes in the middle that manage to be a lot of fun despite not always being reliably clear with their staging and geography.

Anyway, not a big recommendation or anything, as it largely loses steam and succumbs to too much weightless CG that looks like an even more elastic version of the Agent Smith convention fight from The Matrix Reloaded, but nevertheless, it's quite possibly the strongest thing Diesel has top-billed that doesn't have the words "Fast" or "Furious" in the title (sorry, xXx). And I unknowingly watched this a few days before How Did This Get Made? did an episode on it with Adam Scott, so if nothing else, it's an enjoyable diversion on its own, but especially nice with the companion piece of that podcast episode.

Wait, why wasn't Baby Driver the big revelation moment for her like it was for me and seemingly everyone else I know?
Last 11 things I really enjoyed:

    Speed Racer (Wachowski/Wachowski, 2008)
    Safe (Haynes, 1995)
South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut (Parker, 1999)
    Beastie Boys Story (Jonze, 2020)
    Bad Trip (Sakurai, 2020)
    What's Up Doc? (Bogdanovich, 1972)
    Diva (Beineix, 1981)
    Delicatessen (Caro/Jeunet, 1991)
    The Hunger (Scott, 1983)
    Pineapple Express (Green, 2008)
    Chungking Express (Wong, 1994)

Her presence in this film is far more profound than Baby Driver IMO. She just looks... damn good here.

This was an embarrassment to all involved.

Truly in awe at how horrid this was start to finish.

This felt like something DTV in 2004.

Which is really sad because I like him better than both of them.
