They should have someone from Loss Prevention handle it.
Last time my store had the Loss Prevention guys in there so many people got busted for shop lifting. Also the store got complaints that they were a tad...rough. Me I didn't care I'm so tired of dealing with people stealing stuff and making more work for me when I have to take the remains to the back room so someone can note it was stolen. If anyone hired by Walmart is as big and burly as those two guys were no one is going to dare throwing a temper tantrum or tossing stuff at them.

I work in grocery. I have not gotten sick. My fellow employees have not gotten sick. If the virus were even remotely as contagious as its being presented as, why haven’t entire store staffs who come into contact with hundreds of people per day, thousands per week, all falling ill in mass nationwide?

Traffic was backed up so far out of this little town I had to wait to reach the road my parents live on. Came back to my town for some groceries, traffic was packed. Wal-Mart required masks, amish store did not, with a sign on the door "Don't live in fear!" Every time I see that I wanna say cancel any insurance you have and never wear a seatbelt, hypocrites.

This is the work of Sinclair Broadcasting. They might be worse than Fox News.

I haven't seen any of his show in a while but I'm not surprised he covered them. Sinclair owns two stations in my town unfortunately.

This didn't sound like a positive endorsement.

    Guess I misunderstood. Sorry.

I have to share what a good friend went through because it's 100% true and important.
He's in his early 30s and slightly overweight but healthy, active guy. Both he and his father got COVID-19 at the same time and ended up on oxygen in the hospital. They both recovered, and while his dad seems to have no sideeffects, he apparently has lung and heart damage and could be on the heart meds for life. He jokes that it could mean that he's pretty much done with karaoke because he's constantly out of breath - his lungs don't provide enough oxygen so his heart is working overtime and he's always tired.
And he knows exactly how he got it - a neighbor, a pretty large, obese guy, one of those annoying conspiracy theorists who believed COVID was a hoax and deliberately paid no attention to safety recommendations. He visited and talked to my friend's dad, and he says he recalls the moment his dad lowered his mask and leaned in to better hear the guy... Anyway, the guy died on the respirator while they were all hospitalized.

Do you have any adverse side effects, Skitch? You've been on the mend for a while so wanted to ask.

I had it in early April, so its been some time. I still don't have the appetite I once did. The other day my wife was picking up Wendy's. I asked for the dollar menu chicken sandwich. She accidentally ordered the huge spicy chicken sandwich. Yeah, that was two meals for me. Sometimes a manager picks up personal sized pizzas for us for lunch at work. I can eat two pieces, thats also two meals. I'm not really complaining...I lost 20lbs in 10 days with covid, I've gained ten back and I'm kind of hovering there.

I tire easily, I sweat my ass off if physical labor comes up (like through my jean pants in ten minutes), but I think thats been more a side effect of working from home for months. I'm not lazy, I just haven't been as physical in any capacity outside of mowing the lawn or random house projects.

This was my first week back in the office since march, and its been interesting. I feel like just the walking around (our new huge facility we moved into last week) has helped up my stamina a bit. Shit, I took trash out of my office to the dumpster and I bet it was a quarter mile walk out and back.

The experience has also given me a lot of rage at people that act like its all fake, and where I live thats 90% of the population. At the very least its given me ammo for when any fool opens their mouth around me about it being a conspiracy. I shred 'em.
