Finally dusted of my paint brushes and went back to painting miniatures. Thanks for the inspiration.

Had an appropriately social distanced "happy hour" with the neighbors yesterday - pretty much standing on the sidewalk in front of our house spaced 15-20 feet apart and catching up. Not ideal, but sure is nice to get some social interaction after what amounts to complete social isolation for going on two weeks now.
I had a similar experience of having a nightcap with my neighbor (keeping two meters apart) last night and finally got to know my building's rooftop.

Side note: I've taken to painting the miniatures that come with a lot of the boardgames I've picked up over the last several years. I've got about five painted so far. Does anybody else have any hobbies/projects they've either picked up or leaned into with the free time they suddenly found they have?
Hahah exactly the same as you, only with D&D figurines.

C'mon! Pull those bootstraps up! What's a total non essential government shut down gunna do? Who cares if the mayor of Los Angeles will literally shut our electricity and water down if we operate. We're Americans baby! Free hand of the marketplace!
Is that what Los Angeles is threatening to do?

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Scar again.

I'm learning to play the jaw harp, but each time I get on a roll I start giggling and have to stop.

I think people in my fb feed who yell "quit watching CNN!" watch more CNN than people who like CNN. Also, I dont watch CNN.

I kind of feel that the coronavirus stuff seems be to enough for more than one thread.

Pretty sure that’s how you can tell a trained jaw harpist from an intermediate one from a novice one: one can make it through an entire show without cracking up, the other an entire song, the other a measure or two.

I work in grocery. I have not gotten sick. My fellow employees have not gotten sick. If the virus were even remotely as contagious as its being presented as, why haven’t entire store staffs who come into contact with hundreds of people per day, thousands per week, all falling ill in mass nationwide?

They took away our 8-9PM slot for dog walking. Now it's 5AM-5PM only.

AND we just got two more dogs to watch for two days. I'm gonna go nuts.

You would probably recognize the sound it makes though. And it's possible you've heard it referred to by another name.

The second picture was my attempt at showing the 'secondary' burn. The wood definitely seemed to last longer, burned cleaner, and less smoke. They're not the cheapest in the world, but if you're the one who chops wood, it might be worth it.

Imagine if Ebola mutated to behave the way COVID-19 does in regards to incubation rate and what not, while retaining its lethality.

Think about that while trying to get some sleep.

They try that in the States, and I'll wish I had bought body armor with all the good 'ol boys 'going to war'.

Was all of the sound coming just from the instrument? Even the beat-like sound?

    That's pretty nifty.

I was reading about Ebola the other day, and the silver lining is that it isn't really airborne. You have to get into contact with the fluid of a contaminated person (blood, saliva, semen, so forth). It's more contagious than AIDS though.
