You guys will be fine, it's the potential spread and its ramifications that are terrifying. Stay alert and don't slip up.
I'm working from home for two weeks as of today. My anxiety about the whole thing, from its impact on the film industry to fears about me and/or someone in my family getting it changes from low to high with every bit of news about it.
But my job, talking to online friends and writing do wonders for my mood, so there's that.

Home from work for the second day in a row with coughing, sore chest and stuffiness.
Hoping it's just a cold.

Relax, meg. You're a healthy young man. Even if you have it, you'll get through it stronger.
No fever as of yet but my chest is sore and I have a cough, and feel fatigued.
And Grouchy - I am immune compromised, so a little higher risk than normal. But I'm honestly more worried about giving it to others in my household if I ever get it.
Colorado with a blizzard right now.
Looking at state-by-state, quite a few have passed us by. We were #5 overall a week ago, and now we're #12, and there's a heavy amount of testing being done.
Holy shit at NYC though.
Well, it's a legitimate concern, and it means you're a good person. I assume you have health hotlines to call. And, yes, it's tough as hell, but maybe you should isolate yourself from the people you live with if possible. It's fucked up, I know, but it's an impossible situation all around.Quoting megladon8 (view post)
We're in obligatory quarantine as of today. I for one support it. A lot of people were breaking it when it was a "suggestion".
I wouldn't usually be a fan of police and army patrolling the streets but these are exceptional circumstances.

This was here yesterday. I cannot even...
Stay safe, everyone. My grocery store is operating at reduced hours today so I'm off at 9:30 pm today since we close at 8 pm instead of 10 pm.

The Spring Breakers at the beaches and the folks crowding into bars before they closed in the states has me thinking this will happen here.Quoting Grouchy (view post)

Seeing photos from Florida where people continue to swarm the beaches in droves makes me want to suggest a slight adjustment to the border wall.
I think Canada did already.Quoting megladon8 (view post)
Florida SKYROCKETED in cases.
Florida closed all their beaches on Sunday, I believe.

If fatality rates are consistent, this means 750,000 to 2 million dead in California alone.
If you’re the type of person who only fills up your gas tank at E, you should start filling up your tank when it’s at half.
And if your pantry isn’t stocked yet, well, better take care of that.

Why the hell do middle-aged women love Pentatonix so goddamn much.

From being a broke single guy, I've learned to keep the pantry pretty well stocked. We've bought up a little more than usual, but not terribly much. I was dismayed how empty the shelves were at Walmart the other day...and what the empty spots were. They're all out of Spam, ya'll.Quoting Scar (view post)

Corgis are a little gamey for my taste but bac0n has the right idea --- growing your own food seems like a good bet
Already done and done. Thanks to my store's fuel saver program and falling gas prices I only paid around a $1 per gallon. Crazy.Quoting Scar (view post)
