In my opinion if you have so many underlying health problems that wearing a mask for 20 minutes in a store could cause you serious respiratory problems, maybe you shouldn't be out shopping for board games during a viral pandemic.

    But what do I know?

This has been debunked. Whenever someone says this... just refer them to the facts.

I work in grocery. I have not gotten sick. My fellow employees have not gotten sick. If the virus were even remotely as contagious as its being presented as, why haven’t entire store staffs who come into contact with hundreds of people per day, thousands per week, all falling ill in mass nationwide?

Yeah I know, but here people can still claim medical reasons to not wear masks, and they don't have to wear one. No questions asked, no documentation required.

So for example in the incredibly far-right town of Almonte where I work, roughly 95% of the population suddenly has asthma now.

I will never understand the logic of potentially endangering the life of yourself and everyone you meet and/or love just to prove some stupid point.

    And it's happened once again
    I'll turn to a friend
    Someone that understands
And sees through the master plan
    But everybody's gone
And I've been here for too long
To face this on my own
Well, I guess this is growing up

Sorry. Currently embroiled in a fight with trumpies on fb because I stupidly opened my mouth and made the outrageous statement that social media has nothing to do with free speach and I'm exhausted

No offense to anyone here, I value the friendships I’ve made here. With that said, the world would be a better place if we pulled the plug on social media, and the internet is well.

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m well on my way to getting drunk.

I just finished watching The Social Dilemma on Netflix, a doc which based on this comment you would find interesting (summary: many tech experts in the social media industry agree with you).
    Midnight Run (1988) - 9
    The Smiling Lieutenant (1931) - 8.5
    The Adventures of Robinhood (1938) - 8
    Sisters (1973) - 6.5
    Shin Godzilla (2016) - 7.5

Yeah, I’ve heard about that. Haven’t watched it yet. It’ll probably just reinforce my feelings. Hell, I probably wouldn’t own a smart phone if it wasn’t provided with work.

I was trying to be funny, but wasn't busting your particular balls. I know that you know, because I respect you, you see. I was just venting about social media.

China hasn't had more than 100 cases in a day since March, but Europe is having 200k a day and USA had its highest count of the year on Friday.

I wouldn't use China as a benchmark. They have the kind of authoritarian means of locking people in place that you just don't have in a freeer society. And then there's the fact that the state controls the information flow, and they have a vested self interest in those numbers being low.
Losing is like fertilizer: it stinks for a while, then you get used to it. (Tony, Hibbing)

The first peak in China has shown that even they can't fully contain the amount of information that would result from any significant discrepancy between official and "real" numbers.
