I'm flying to FLA of all places in May - there are good reasons - but no, brother I don't think I'm going to take public transport with you because of your fascination with trains. It would be two weeks after my second.

    Well, that was easy.

Went to the grocery store to get some coffee last night, and the Pharmacist came up to me to let me know that they had four open spots left due to no shows, and they needed to use them by end of day.

    Pfizer'd up.

First day of a new month long lockdown.

Opened the store, and the very first customer through the door isn't wearing a mask.

    *sigh*

I work in grocery. I have not gotten sick. My fellow employees have not gotten sick. If the virus were even remotely as contagious as its being presented as, why haven’t entire store staffs who come into contact with hundreds of people per day, thousands per week, all falling ill in mass nationwide?

Love it when this happens. It's like walking up to someone and saying "Hi, you just won the immunity lottery today and you didn't even know you entered!"

I'd compare it to that one time in med school when I was studying late at Panera and they went around handing out their french baguettes to customers because they were otherwise going to be thrown away.

It's a bit like that, and also not like that at all.

Yeah, definitely feeling lucky. I had tried to make an appointment in the morning and it's complicated, and I figured that if I didn't get one in the first three days, I'd wait a few weeks.

Slightly sore arm, like someone punched it last night. That's it.

Yeah the arm being sore afterwards is typical. Welcome to the vaccine club.

Can't find a dang appointment around me atm. Frustrating.

Are they doing them at pharmacies in the USA? Or do you have to go to a hospital / clinic?

You can get them at some pharmacies, and they’ve also set up large sites. I got mine at the River Center, which houses college basketball games, the Xcel Center (professional hockey and concerts), etc. They’re opening up another site at the State Fair Grounds. Minnesota is not messing around.

Anyone in Colorado can get them now. Basically at any pharmacy. I feel like anyone could have an appointment by the end of the month if they try hard enough.

Day 1 of a 4 week province wife lockdown.

Spent the morning roping off aisles and sections of non-essential products.

Opened at 9am. By 9:05 I had already been yelled at twice.

BE NICE TO FRONT LINE WORKERS.

All covid aside, I don't know why people are rude to workers anyway. You know who I'm rude to? People that are rude to me. Not workers who say things like, hey, this area isn't open right now. I'd be like, ok.

Hell I'm not even rude to rude. Usually the rude is over before I even know what is happening. I'm trying to think of the last time I got huffy at someone...like 2 years ago I yelled at a woman driving up the school street way too fast who almost hit my kids while we were walking. I yelled "GET OFF YOUR DAMN PHONE!" If my kids hadn't been with me I wouldve said much, MUCH worse.

There are a lot of people who turn their noses up at anyone in service/ retail, Skitch. A LOT.

People who think those people are bottom feeders and deserve their scorn, and to live in poverty.

The upper class has worked really hard in making the middle class believe that the reason they aren't rich is them damn poor people.

Indiana is opening vaccination to ANYONE in neighboring Illinois (for limited time) - seems like they have a surplus.

Retail is hard and the anti-maskers have just made it harder.
