The helmer of the [REC] trilogy offers us one of the sickest, most twisted thrillers in recent memory as an aging drug dealer negotiates a leave of prison for an old people's home and ends up under the care of a nurse whose brother died of a heroin overdose years ago. Yup, things get as nasty as they sound and the film kept me on the edge of my seat (well, actually a mattress) for an hour fifty, which was what I was hoping for when I clicked "play". There's a confusingly directed car crash at one point, but overall, this is a finely tuned suspense picture with an indelible final shot. Recommended.
