They should pull a DC and release an alternative cut of Rise of Skywalker, only it's a completely different movie shot from scratch.

I'm curious to see Abrams' original cut which was over 4 hours.Quoting [ETM] (view post)
That time could sure smooth some stuff out and clear up some questions.Quoting megladon8 (view post)
But that would just be more of the thing that should be done from scratch.Quoting megladon8 (view post)

I would trash the entire trilogy and start all over again. Focus on an aging Luke right from the start and follow as he recruits a group of new characters for a specific reason that is "resolved" in movie 1, then have someone from that group evolve into the antagonist for the remaining two films as the new characters face split loyalties, betrayal, finding their inner strength etc, and then let one of those characters slowly emerge as the new hero by the end of the third movie.
Or you could just have another go at a Death Star, I guess.

How about Lucas' original pitch of episode 9 ending with Han and Leia discovering an empty planet and colonizing it, calling it "Earth"?
Brilliant.
That would be the Jedi Academy trilogy books. It wouldve been great (as I recall). Hell, most the books they wrote post ROTJ wouldve been fantastic. But no, as usual, instead of using any of the blueprints, Hollywood had to reinvent the wheel and just wing it. *roll eyes*Quoting transmogrifier (view post)
Was that his idea for real??? BlechQuoting megladon8 (view post)
Except we dont have starships today so what would be the point of that?Quoting megladon8 (view post)
I want a Star Wars trilogy from a Sith perspective.
Exactly.Quoting Dukefrukem (view post)
So stupid it's brilliant.
This.Quoting Dukefrukem (view post)
The Sith are just as dumb as the Jedi. The only truly interesting way forward would have been blurring the lines with some take on the Gray concept.

The original break off of the Sith would be an interesting story to tell too.Quoting [ETM] (view post)
It's so funny that if you ONLY have watched the movies, you have no idea about that Darth Maul line in the Phantom Menace.
I feel like things are at a standstill for SW going forward outside of the Mandalorian.
And Obi-Wan.Quoting Ezee E (view post)
Have red beams come out both sides of it. The Darth Maul of Death Stars. The crossover everyone has been asking for!Quoting transmogrifier (view post)

All of that would have worked so much better and you could still have Han show up for only one movie, too.Quoting transmogrifier (view post)
Blog!
And it's happened once again
I'll turn to a friend
Someone that understands
And sees through the master plan
But everybody's gone
And I've been here for too long
To face this on my own
Well, I guess this is growing up
Hahha. Something I just realized through browsing Stars Wars stuff.
Palpatine wanted Rey to kill him at the end of this movie. Why?
To become a Sith and inhabit her body.Quoting Dukefrukem (view post)
So when she killed him, why didn't he do that? Did he forget?Quoting Skitch (view post)
lol
I guess because she didn't kill him in anger, but love lolQuoting Dukefrukem (view post)
