I would trash the entire trilogy and start all over again. Focus on an aging Luke right from the start and follow as he recruits a group of new characters for a specific reason that is "resolved" in movie 1, then have someone from that group evolve into the antagonist for the remaining two films as the new characters face split loyalties, betrayal, finding their inner strength etc, and then let one of those characters slowly emerge as the new hero by the end of the third movie.

Or you could just have another go at a Death Star, I guess.

That would be the Jedi Academy trilogy books. It wouldve been great (as I recall). Hell, most the books they wrote post ROTJ wouldve been fantastic. But no, as usual, instead of using any of the blueprints, Hollywood had to reinvent the wheel and just wing it. *roll eyes*

Have red beams come out both sides of it. The Darth Maul of Death Stars. The crossover everyone has been asking for!

All of that would have worked so much better and you could still have Han show up for only one movie, too.
    Blog!

    And it's happened once again
    I'll turn to a friend
    Someone that understands
And sees through the master plan
    But everybody's gone
And I've been here for too long
To face this on my own
Well, I guess this is growing up
