    This was okay for the first half, but it really runs out of steam, particularly with its weird obsession with making everyone nice underneath.

    I can't tell if that's the movie or if high school has really just changed that much in the 20 years since I've been in it. Makes me think of 21 Jump Street when they roll up in a brand new sports car and think everyone is going to treat them like they are super badass, when the actual popular boy is a liberal environmentalist who criticizes their ride for having shitty gas mileage.
