I didn't like Shrek, but assumed at least part one was the good one from that series of flicks, but boy did I not like it at all. Much of the humour rests entirely on Donkey, the finale is as pitiful as it gets, the pop songs grate, and the message, that real beauty is on the inside vomit-inducing, and even false. Sure, I get it's sort of a parody on fairy tales and such, but just a lame, unfullfilling product.

I just watched I lost My Body on Netflix and enjoyed it. A little heavy-HANDed haha, but a fantastic use of the medium. I think the best animations are good stories that are best suited for or only possible through animation and I think this fits that category.
