I'm with Skitch on "Toy Story 3." I hated it when I saw it in the theater. Terrible ending.

I softened a bit on it after subsequent viewings (it's more ambitious than "2" and more coherent than "4"), but I still think there's something weird and off about the story. The premise is too dark and the villain is too violent. It's supposed to be a kid's movie but it tries to wring sentimentality from a story that features trauma for the characters and disturbing images for the audience.
This is why loved it. That it had a dark edge. I find most kids movies so utterly vanilla and safe. Why should we shield kids entirely from such themes? It's life, perhaps it's actually better that they learn some tough lessons through a product such as Toy Story than in a hard, direct way such as parents divorcing.

"it's supposed to be a kid's movie" is a kinda limiting mantra if the studios were to embrace this wholesale. It means no one will ever take risks and we end up with stale, generic fare.

    My 5 cents.

Be prepared, it's far from many people's favorite. But the run of A Thousand Leaves - NYC Ghosts and Flowers - Murray Street - Sonic Nurse is the best of their career

I like Daydream Nation just fine, but it still feels kind of like a chore to sit through the whole thing at times. "NYC Ghosts and Flowers" is one of their very best songs. If I had to make a list:

    1. Heather Angel
    2. Anagrama
    3. Sympathy for the Strawberry
    4. NYC Ghosts and Flowers
    5. JC
    6. 'Cross the Breeze

I love Daydream Nation but that is probably due to having it been the first Sonic Youth album I ever heard.

I... severely dislike Gina from Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Although she has her moments, I, for the most part, find her self-centeredness really obnoxious and she's really unlikable.

When Harry Met Sally is the best straight-out romantic comedy of all time. However, depending on how you define the genre, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind would top it.

Wait this is controversial? Both are excellent films. Can I count Groundhog's Day as a romcom? I think so.

I think most film buffs would choose a romantic comedy from Hollywood's golden age, and many would dispute ESOTSM is a romcom at all.

All musical covers by Johnny Cash or Joan Baez are better than the originals.

Exception: Judas Priest's cover of Diamonds and Rust is better.

I work in grocery. I have not gotten sick. My fellow employees have not gotten sick. If the virus were even remotely as contagious as its being presented as, why haven’t entire store staffs who come into contact with hundreds of people per day, thousands per week, all falling ill in mass nationwide?
