The stunt is rad, though one has to assume the ramp will be painted out and replaced by CGI terrain, right? Takes a liiiiitle bit away from it for me, but it's still gonna be rad. I guess it's the same as the added CGI weather to the Fallout HALO jump, which really really worked for me, so smallest gripe possible.

Reminds me of GoldenEye. Which is to say, not so hair raising compared to what Came before.

Is that really Cruise??
No clue but I'd bet my ass. Seems less crazy than other shit hes done.Quoting Dukefrukem (view post)
I thought I saw another image of the person parachuting closer up and you could see that it was Cruise.

A stunt that rad has gotta free you of eight, maybe ten Thetans even.

Honestly the para shooting part isn't the scary thing about that stunt. It's making sure you stay on the ramp for a proper dismount at that speed. But combine them? And holy hell.

What are the chances that Cruise's space action movie actually happens?
Thinking about just the sheer dollar amount involved, I have a very hard time believing this will happen.
At MOST I bet we will get an action movie with one action scene taking place in the upper stratosphere.
An entire action movie on the ISS? No way. No effing way.
Is that the one where Cruise is teaming up with Elon Musk?
I hadn't heard of Musk's involvement. I just know Cruise and director Doug Liman.Quoting Dead & Messed Up (view post)

I don't blame Cruise. Could he have maybe phrased it better or not yell? Sure. But he's right-the movie industry is certainly not in a good place currently.
Blog!
And it's happened once again
I'll turn to a friend
Someone that understands
And sees through the master plan
But everybody's gone
And I've been here for too long
To face this on my own
Well, I guess this is growing up
This is why the article says:
'Two of the crew stood less than a metre away from each other at a computer screen'.
Can this sort of thing really be avoided on a film set? I mean, hearing Cruise I thought some folks were having a secret party. But nothing so dramatic. Still, I guess it's good to be strict, folks in Belgium don't always take the pandemic seriously either so we could certainly do with Cruise's people-firing skills over here.

I'm team Cruise on this one.
100% team Cruise on this one. Good for him.
People NEED to stop taking this as some joke.
"All right, that's too hot. Anything we can do about that heat?"
"Rick...it's a flamethrower."
I just love his commitment here. He's essentially paying for these productions to stay open.
If I can psychoanalysis for a moment...when he gets real heated he talks about jobs and homes and college...so I take that like he really knows what his stardom means. It weighs on him. That's interesting.
This. I know he's not the only one, but he's articulating it way better than anyone at the upcoming Oscars probably will. When various actors start talking about saving the industry this year, they'll probably come across very tone-deaf because they rarely mention the crews that are behind the scenes that aren't getting millions.Quoting Skitch (view post)
