Is this real?
Is this real?
It looks like a dud. Where are the jokes? Where's the personality?
For comparison: the original's 1997 trailer.
F. Gary Gray might not have been the best choice for this material.
Huh... Yeah. That looks bad.
Giving the franchise a British spin-off is not a bad idea on itself, though. But that trailer is scary bad.
Looks better than the last two sequels.
I thought MIB3 was good. Unstuck-in-Time Alien was pretty sweet.
I only have it as the 10th worst film of 2012. And 2012 was a good year for film.Quoting Dead & Messed Up (view post)
Looks about as forgettable as an alien sighting after I've been neuralized
The severed arm perfectly acquitted itself, because of the simplicity of its wishes and its total lack of doubt.
Only thing I recall about it is Brolin's performance was hilarious.Quoting Dead & Messed Up (view post)
I’m hoping they capitalize on Hemsworth’s comic ability, cause dude can be funny.
The footage in that trailer just feels so empty. Like not just without enough cinematic oomph or comedy to it, but every shot literally looks like its of a world that's scarcely populated. The irony of them expanding the scope of the MIB in going geographically bigger is that feels thinner and smaller than when they were just in dark corners of New York.
And MIB3 is definitely better than it has any right to be (especially considering its insane production). Not just for Stuhlbarg and Brolin, either.
Last 11 things I really enjoyed:
Speed Racer (Wachowski/Wachowski, 2008)
Safe (Haynes, 1995)
South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut (Parker, 1999)
Beastie Boys Story (Jonze, 2020)
Bad Trip (Sakurai, 2020)
What's Up Doc? (Bogdanovich, 1972)
Diva (Beineix, 1981)
Delicatessen (Caro/Jeunet, 1991)
The Hunger (Scott, 1983)
Pineapple Express (Green, 2008)
Chungking Express (Wong, 1994)
By the way what happened to the whole crossover with 21 Jump Street thing?
I think those were just ideas tossed around during the Sony e-mail hackathon.Quoting megladon8 (view post)
I specifically remember hearing that project died. (Probably around the time Pascal was pushed out.)Quoting megladon8 (view post)
Getting destroyed by #filmtwitter.
Currently ~35% on RT.
Second bomb of the summer?
Wow the third entry was the highest grossing film in the series. I wouldn't have guessed.
