Oh shit!
Saw some people wondering how D+ will handle the language in the show, given that they're very much stifling anything not "family-friendly." Will there be two versions, like ESPN is doing with The Last Dance (unedited language on ESPN, edited on ESPN2), I wonder? Or is it really only mermaid butts and smoking they care about covering up?Quoting Dukefrukem (view post)

All good questions. I would be annoyed if they censored the whole show.
Anything but the integral original show is unacceptable.
I'll watch it.

Jesus Christ.

It's a Broadway play filmed and put it on Disney+Quoting Idioteque Stalker (view post)
So it's not a movie then?Quoting Dukefrukem (view post)
I know I'm repeatedly asking inane questions, but I'm just curious how it's being categorized.

I don't know what you're definition of a movie is here. It's filmed literally on stage with an audience.Quoting Idioteque Stalker (view post)
There are elements filmed of what appears to be rehearsal runs and closeups to give the appearance of multiple camera angles. It has a running time of 2 hours and 40 minutes.
But it's not by the standard definition, a film.
Ah, I see. So I suppose it's ineligible for Oscar consideration, for instance. Metacritic has it categorized under "movie"--I guess that's simply because this is the first time a theater recording has been so popular.Quoting Dukefrukem (view post)
