    Fly-by-night marketing companies always claim they have viewership numbers, but they're always full of shit.

    And the author here made up her own metrics to arrive at this imagined Disney "windfall," pulling total viewership numbers out of her ass. (Besides which, $261MM would be an absolute disaster for a movie with an estimated budget of $200MM.)

    They sold the movie at a premium, though, so even the fabricated box office isn't impressive. $260MM at their price point is an audience of 8 million.

    Network TV shows such as "NCIS" pull better audience numbers every week. "Game of Thrones" and "Walking Dead" habitually attract twice as many.

    For another comparison, "Troll's World Tour," which debuted last spring, had an audience of around 5 million over the same time period.
